A primera vista, nadie es capaz de descifrar quienes somos, pero ¿Qué pasa cuando ni siquiera nosotros mismos no sabemos sobre nuestro origen?
Esta es una de esas historias que parece un hilo del que no se encuentra el inicio, pero que parte desde el final como si se tratara de caminar tras las huellas dejadas en el fango, justo cuando luego de estar internada en el hospital falleció sin que nadie la reclamara.

Entró al hospital en una ambulancia, luego de ser encontrada al borde de una carretera, por lo que la primera impresión fue el que había sido atropellada, pero luego de su muerte, empieza la historia para saber de quién se trataba, pues toda su vida había sido una farsa que un periodista se empeñó en desenmascarar, encontrando matices de terror y abuso hacia una mujer que terminó su vida con tan solo 20 años.
Tenía un niño pequeño, quien poco después fuera dado en adopción. Detrás de todo esto, su pareja, quien se hacía llamar Clarence, desaparece de los lugares donde frecuentaban, y por supuesto, sus conocidos y la policía empiezan a sospechar. Mucho más, cuando al llamar a la mujer que aparece en su registro de nacimiento, afirma que su hija murió siendo una bebé.

Desde ese punto de partida, vemos como se va destejiendo una historia cargada de abusos y varias identidades de esta misteriosa mujer, quien fuera conocida en distintas etapas de su vida con diferentes nombres y también llena de violencia de todo tipo, haciéndola convertirse en un ser inerme, movilizada por los designios de quien fuera su secuestrador.
Durante toda la historia, surge la duda sobre la verdadera identidad de esta chica, su origen y el por qué terminó de la manera que lo hizo, descubriéndose piezas de un rompecabezas desordenado que va tomando forma conforme pasa el tiempo de este caso policial.

La niña de la foto no es más que el ápice de un submundo que existe entre nosotros, pero que no siempre somos capaces de verlo, pues se nos presenta de tan diversas maneras, que solo cuando llega la tragedia es que salen a la luz los demonios con los que muchas personas deben lidiar, inclusive desde su infancia.

She was taken to the hospital by ambulance after being found on the side of a road, so the first impression was that she had been hit by a car, but after her death, the story begins to uncover who she was, as her whole life had been a sham that a journalist was determined to expose, finding nuances of terror and abuse towards a woman who ended her life at only 20 years old.
She had a young child, who was soon given up for adoption. Behind all this, her partner, who called himself Clarence, disappears from the places they frequented, and of course, their acquaintances and the police begin to suspect something is wrong. Even more so when they call the woman who appears on her birth certificate, who claims that her daughter died as a baby.

From that starting point, we see how a story full of abuse and multiple identities unravels for this mysterious woman, who was known by different names at different stages of her life and was also subjected to violence of all kinds, turning her into a helpless being, manipulated by the designs of her kidnapper.
Throughout the story, doubts arise about the girl's true identity, her origins, and why she ended up the way she did, as pieces of a jumbled puzzle are uncovered and begin to take shape as this police case unfolds.

The girl in the photo is just the tip of the iceberg of an underworld that exists among us, but that we are not always able to see, as it presents itself in so many different ways that only when tragedy strikes do the demons that many people have to deal with, even from childhood, come to light.
