Cuando limpiar se convierte en una experiencia aterradora / When cleaning becomes a terrifying experience

Hace un par de meses atrás, quise cambiar la marca de desinfectante que usaba, para darle oportunidad a otras que tenían fragancias diferentes, y cuyo costo no implicaba una inversión tan grande en comparación con los que llevaba habitualmente. Así que cuando vi en el anaquel los productos de la marca Procenex, me animé a comprar el que tiene el aroma original.

No tenía ningún tipo de recomendación, pero si he visto que muchos de los clientes del supermercado lo llevan, y guiada por eso busqué entre todos algún olor que fuera fuerte, pensando que dejaría el aroma por mucho tiempo. Al abrir el envase marcado como original, me gustó la fragancia, pues me recordó a los que suelen usar en las clínicas, donde la higiene es vital, y por eso lo compré.

En principio lo usé puro para lavar el inodoro y el bidet, y realmente el aroma era fuerte pero agradable, luego lo mezclé con agua para trapear el piso de toda la casa, quedando conforme con el resultado, aunque esto solo duró poco tiempo.

Luego de la limpieza me fui a trabajar, y al regresar a casa, unas 4 horas después, empezó la pesadilla. Un olor desagradable me recibió apenas abrí la puerta, pensé que quizás se había dañado la nevera y algo se había podrido en mi ausencia, aunque era poco el tiempo para que eso sucediera. Luego se me ocurrió que habría sido el gato, pues a veces ellos al devolver las bolas de pelo, capaz y también vomitó comida, pero ella no estuvo dentro de casa en toda la mañana.

Tuve que abrir el ventanal del balcón y todas las ventanas de la sala y el baño, y refugiarme en la habitación donde no había ese desagradable aroma. Fue ahí cuando concluí que el olor era producto de este desinfectante, pues no lo usé en el cuarto porque lo había dejado para limpiarlo cuando volviera de trabajar.

Pasó una hora para que se desvaneciera ese olor, además de ayudarme prendiendo sahumerios en la sala y el baño buscando cambiar ese hedor antes de que llegaran mis hijos de la escuela.

Pero como me quedaba una buena parte del producto, días después solo lo usé en el inodoro, obteniendo el mismo resultado. Ya luego recordé que una vez lo usamos para limpiar el supermercado y la dueña nos dijo al día siguiente que no lo hiciéramos otra vez porque el olor fue muy extraño, pero mi compañero y yo pensamos que quizás había sido producto de mezclarlo con la lavandina.

Al final, terminé tirando todo al caño, y fue cuando compré el concentrado de Multimax, al cual ya le hice una reseña para esta comunidad, y que ha sido un excelente aliado en la limpieza de mi hogar, dejando la experiencia con el procenex original como un mal recuerdo y una advertencia de que no siempre las primeras impresiones son las que cuentan.

A couple of months ago, I wanted to change the brand of disinfectant I used to use, to give a chance to others that had different fragrances, and whose cost did not imply such a big investment compared to the ones I usually use. So when I saw the Procenex brand products on the shelf, I decided to buy the one with the original scent.

I didn't have any kind of recommendation, but I have seen that many of the supermarket customers carry it, and guided by that I looked for a strong scent among all of them, thinking that it would leave the scent for a long time. When I opened the bottle marked as original, I liked the fragrance, as it reminded me of the ones used in clinics, where hygiene is vital, and that is why I bought it.

At first I used it pure to wash the toilet and bidet, and the scent was really strong but pleasant, then I mixed it with water to mop the floor of the whole house, being satisfied with the result, although this only lasted a short time.

After the cleaning I went to work, and when I returned home, about 4 hours later, the nightmare began. An unpleasant smell greeted me as soon as I opened the door, I thought that perhaps the refrigerator had been damaged and something had rotted in my absence, although it was too short a time for that to happen. Then it occurred to me that it might have been the cat, because sometimes when they return the hairballs, maybe and also vomited food, but she was not inside the house all morning.

I had to open the balcony window and all the windows in the living room and bathroom, and take refuge in the room where there was no unpleasant smell. It was then when I concluded that the smell was a product of this disinfectant, since I did not use it in the room because I had left it to clean it when I came back from work.

It took an hour for the smell to go away, besides helping me by lighting incense in the living room and the bathroom to change the stench before my children came home from school. But since I had a good part of the product left, days later I only used it in the toilet, obtaining the same result. Then I remembered that once we used it to clean the supermarket and the owner told us the next day not to do it again because the smell was so strange, but my partner and I thought that maybe it had been a product of mixing it with the bleach.

In the end, I ended up throwing everything down the drain, and that was when I bought the Multimax concentrate, which I already reviewed for this community, and which has been an excellent ally in the cleaning of my home, leaving the experience with the original procenex as a bad memory and a warning that first impressions are not always the ones that count.
