Scifi-verse Prompt #4 // The Science Of Procrastination Written By mamab
It's a beautiful week on the SciFi Multiverse Prompt. My name is mamab here, I specifically welcome you all to my blog. This is scifi multiverse prompt week #4.
I want to specially appreciate the admins of this beautiful and new community for the efforts they are putting to build up the community and give people space to express themselves through writing.
On this edition, we are asked to write on the science of procrastination. Procrastination is something that is qualified to be addressed as a disease of the mind. At one point or the other almost every human being has fallen victim to this. There are times when we tend to promise and drag the fulfillment. Procrastination is not hard to come by, it is very easy. Just say or plan to do something and don't do it at the proposed time repeatedly, you have already entered procrastination.

I've been a victim severally of this thing called procrastination. When it comes to house work especially, I end up shifting a day's work to the next day. For instance, cleanup, washing of clothes, fetching water, posting on hive among others. Most times posting on hive suffers. I have promised and planned severally to upload at least a number of posts in a week, @hivedeb can bear witness because she has been following me up on hive. I have been dragging this write-up for the past 3 days, I finally made it today.
To tackle procrastination, few things need to be put into consideration:
Firstly, decide to do it and do it immediately: It is very important to decide to do a task but it is just one step. The most important step is to carry out the plans.
Secondly, be committed to your word: This is very important especially if you promised to do something for someone. Don't be known for promising and dragging your feet.
Interestingly, when I promise someone I try to fulfill it. It is my own things that suffer.
Thirdly, work on having a balance: I need to bring back balance to my activities too. At some point when I was in school I planned a timetable for almost every thing I did. I had time to be in class, in fellowship, in the library and others, it really helped me because anybody that tries to distract I will tell the person sorry I have this agenda to settle.
Lastly ask for God's help: Sometimes there are spirits behind what we do, the devil does not want to see anyone making positive progress. He wants us to rigmarole and move in circles. We need to ask for God to deliver us from his grip to make positive progress.
I believe you had a good time going through my write-up. I will see you hopefully in the next post. Bye for now.
Procrastination is what is qualified to be called disease of the mind. This is true and I agree because it has capacity to kills. Thanks for sharing
