It's a new dawn on the hive open mic community. My name is mamab. It's a great opportunity and privilege again for us to share what we have with our friends on the platform for this week #250. The theme is "long night". I salute all the great men who are committed to leading us and making sure we are all growing fine.

Talking about long night, I see it as a situation where one has an experience that is unpalatable for a period of time. It can be that of depression, sorrow or trouble. A long night can actually mean different things to different people.

So, I chose to do the cover of this beautiful song by Kathleen Colleen popularly known as Kathy Troccoli which is titled "Carry your candle". The song is a challenge and also an encouragement to everyone to know that we have candles. Our shinning however differs from each other. Some are very bright, some are dim, others are not even shinning at all. When you have Jesus, your light will shine bright, so you have the responsibility of helping others to see their path.
