I recently had the opportunity to discover a restaurant that stole my heart (and stomach) with its delicious soups, known in Venezuela as "boils". I can assure you that they are the best in the city!
What makes this place even more special is its dreamlike location: in the middle of the mountains of the Chorro del Indio National Park, in San Cristóbal, Táchira state. Imagine enjoying a steaming plate with a postcard mountain landscape.
Hace poco tuve la oportunidad de descubrir un restaurante que me robó el corazón (y el estómago) con sus deliciosas sopas, conocidas en Venezuela como "hervidos". ¡Les puedo asegurar que son las mejores de la ciudad!
Lo que hace aún más especial a este lugar es su ubicación de ensueño: en medio de las montañas del Parque Nacional del Chorro del Indio, en San Cristóbal, estado Táchira. Imagínense disfrutar de un plato humeante con un paisaje montañoso de postal.
The restaurant has that rustic charm of mountain cabins. Its appearance may seem simple, but don't be fooled, the flavor that comes out of its kitchen is exquisite!
Their secret is the magic of firewood. They cook the soups over a slow fire over logs, which gives them a unique and irresistible flavor.

Pea and pork rind soup: A Venezuelan classic with a crispy touch.

El restaurante tiene ese encanto rústico de las cabañas de montaña. Su apariencia podría parecer sencilla, pero no se dejen engañar, ¡el sabor que sale de su cocina es exquisito!
Su secreto es la magia de la leña. Cocinan las sopas a fuego lento sobre leños, lo que les da un sabor único e irresistible.

I ordered the beef soup because I really like the flavor of the protein they include because they also cook the meat over a wood fire and it tastes like grilled.
Yo pedí el hervido de res ya que me gusta mucho el sabor de la proteina que incluyen por que tambien cocinan la carne a la leña y casi sabe como parrilla.
The truth is that it is a quite large portion of food for 1 person and the firewood flavor gives it the magic touch to the flavor!
It's a lot of food, I was extremely full and the truth is that for only $5 it's a bargain and that's precisely what makes the restaurant always full of people.
La verdad es que es una porcion de comida bastante grande para 1 persona y el sabor a la leña le da el toque magico al sabor!
Es mucha comida, yo quedé extremadamente lleno y la verdad es que por tan solo 5$ es una ganga y precisamente eso hace que el restaurante siempre este lleno de personas.
Since I went there, I haven't stopped talking about the restaurant, recommending it to all my friends, despite its rural appearance, the flavor of the food will enchant everyone!
