What happens when AI replaces humans at jobs?

Being pro-AI or an enthusiast can sometimes be misinterpreted as being in support of the potential negative effects of AI use or adoption.

Before I decided that I was going to become more active on Hive and focus entirely on AI, I understood that I'd likely have to deal with many that are uncomfortable with the technology.

As much as many seek assurances, the best anyone can do is speculate or make predictions for what they believe the future holds.

I want to attempt such with the topic of job losses, as it is irrefutably the leading concern so far.

I think that most people feel lost and scared of what a world where their skills are no longer valued looks like and how they might survive that without simply becoming slaves to the system, in ways that today's reality would feel like a blessing.

First thing I'd say is that change has always been one thing that's guaranteed, and it's always also been expected that people remain open to adjustments, because survival itself requires the ability to adapt to changes.

AI is happening, whether we like it or not.

Now when that happens, here's what I think will follow:

Debt will grow

More people will have to take out loans to survive, initially. Some will take loans to set up businesses as they inevitably have to move away from being employees.

This is a point where creativity will be heavily rewarded!

Businesses built around AI

What I think should be obvious is that future businesses will be built around artificial intelligence and this will creating jobs demanding humans.

The roles, however, will probably focus largely on creativity too. Much of these new businesses will probably be set up with loans too and much of the jobs will probably pay low.

Notwithstanding, I think that considering that AI's replacement of humans throughout the general economy will bring down costs for most things that are basic needs for survival.

So although the jobs that would exist may pay low, they will probably be enough to afford basic things.

Increased focus on ownership

Most people have lived their lives being just consumers, this is likely to change with AI in the picture. It will become crucial for the masses to be active stakeholders in an AI-powered world.

This is one way we can ensure ethicality remains central to AI development and the world doesn't become a giant prison with millions of advanced machines keeping a small circle of wealthy individuals ruling the masses.

I think that AI's tech arriving at a time where crypto and digital assets networks exist is a blessing. Crypto and blockchain technology is a system that people can capitalize on to build alternative economies if AI is wesponized against the masses.

There are so much that can go wrong with AI and so much that can go right. We can only speculate and watch out for when a limit that shouldn't be exceeded is being attempted, so as to push back.

Being completely against further developments and use of the technology is not the way to go as there are multiple ways it's applications could be greatly beneficial to the world, at large.
