Greetings dear community, happy 2026. I am happy to be back in this great musical showcase and to share with the great talents who gather here week after week. For this week 301 of Hive Open Mic, whose theme is “Somebody to Love,” I wanted to choose a song that invites us to look at love from a very honest place: love for oneself.
We often look for “Somebody to Love” outside ourselves, without realizing that the first bond we must nurture is the one we have with ourselves. This song is about recognizing our personal value, being grateful for who we are and what we experience, and understanding that we deserve good things, peace of mind, joy, and healthy love.
Loving yourself also means being present, enjoying the little moments, accepting sadness when it comes, and trusting that good things are on the way. It is from that inner security that we can offer a more real, freer, and more sincere love to others.
Because before loving someone else, it is okay—and necessary—to learn to say to ourselves: I deserve it.
Saludos querida comunidad, feliz año 2026. Me alegra estar de vuelta en esta gran vitrina musical y compartir con los grandes talentos que semana a semana se dan cita acá. Para esta semana 301 de Hive Open Mic, cuya temática es “Alguien para amar”, quise escoger una canción que nos invita a mirar el amor desde un lugar muy honesto: el amor hacia uno mismo.
Muchas veces buscamos a “alguien para amar” afuera, sin darnos cuenta de que el primer vínculo que debemos cuidar es el que tenemos con nosotros. Esta canción habla de reconocer el valor personal, de agradecer lo que somos y lo que vivimos, de entender que merecemos cosas buenas, tranquilidad, alegría y un amor sano.
Amarse también es estar presente, disfrutar los pequeños momentos, aceptar la tristeza cuando llega y confiar en que lo bueno viene en camino. Desde esa seguridad interior es que podemos ofrecer un amor más real, más libre y más sincero a los demás.
Porque antes de amar a alguien más, está bien —y es necesario— aprender a decirnos a nosotros mismos: me lo merezco.

Coincido contigo en que es una canción hermosa desde el punto de vista que se le mire, tanto en su melodía como en su letra y es que nada más al escucharla, ya te sientes mejor y da una vibra muy positiva, eso es lo que quise transmitir, porque antes de buscar a alguien para amar, debemos primero amarnos a nosotros mismos. Me alegra muchísimo que te haya gustado, estoy feliz de volver a estar en mi casa, en Open Mic.
