Failed home shopping day [Eng-Esp]

Hello everyone here! Once again, I'm sharing a bit of my daily life with everyone. Today, Marcelo and I decided to go out and find something specific we've been wanting for our home for some time. Since I had a doctor's appointment, we went looking for that gift for both of us.

Hola a todos por acá! Una vez mas compartiendo con todos parte de mi dia a dia. Hoy Marcelo y yo nos dimos a la tarea de salir a buscar algo específico que deseamos desde hace algún tiempo para nuestro hogar, así que aprovechando que tenía una consulta médica, fuimos en busca de ese regalo para ambos.

This place is called Home Center of Venezuela and it's one of the largest stores on the island where they sell everything for the home and more. I actually visited it once when it opened, but I never went back because I always bought what I needed at shopping malls or other home stores that are more centrally located.

Este lugar se llama Home Center de Venezuela y es una tienda de las mas grandes en la isla donde venden todo para el hogar y mas, realmente la visité una vez cuando su inauguración pero nunca mas la visité porque lo que necesitaba siempre lo compraba en centros comerciales o otras tiendas para el hogar que quedan mas céntricas.

It's a huge store, like those department stores in movies. Upon entering, you can see the vehicle section where there are tools, paints, and other odds and ends, but I didn't go too far because it wasn't what I was looking for, and my budget was tight for what I wanted. I started looking at everything they have for the home, but when you go with a man... they're almost always in a hurry or not interested in looking too closely at the prices of other things.

Es una tienda inmensa, como esos almacenes de películas. Al entrar puedes ver la sección de vehículos donde hay herramientas, pinturas y otras cositas pero no me acerqué porque no era nada de lo que buscaba, además mi presupuesto era ajustado para lo que deseaba. Empecé a mirar todo lo que tienen para el hogar pero cuando vas con un hombre.... casi siempre están apurados o no les interesa mirar demasiado los precios de otras cosas.

It came right to what we were looking for: these "Poltronas" or reclining chairs. They may have another name, but they're exactly what we want for our porch, since that's where we sit in the afternoons drinking coffee and watching our girls play outside with the neighbors, or riding their bikes and roller skates. The saleswoman took us to where all the chairs were, and we were able to take a good look at them and even try them out. As for the price, it hadn't gone up much since we'd been told they were there, but in terms of quality, it wasn't what we expected because my husband weighs a lot, and it seems like they wouldn't last that long. Each one cost $51.

El llegó directo a lo que estábamos buscando que son estas sillas tipo "Poltronas", o reclinables, quizás tienen otro nombre pero es exactamente lo que queremos para el porche de nuestra casa ya que es donde nos sentamos por las tardes a tomar café y a ver a nuestras niñas jugar en la calle con los vecinos, o correr bicicletas y patines. La vendedora nos llevó al lugar donde estaban todas las sillas y las pudimos observar bien y hasta probar. En cuanto al precio, no había subido mucho desde que nos habían dicho que ahí estaban, pero en cuanto a calidad, no era lo que esperamos porque mi esposo pesa mucho y parece que no resistiría tanto. El costo de cada una era de 51$.

The beige color was the only one available, and I really loved it. The design was quite simple, too. But due to the quality of the chairs, we decided not to buy them. Unfortunately, there were no other options, but we'll keep looking. To avoid wasting time, we decided to walk around the entire store. One thing I love about these stores is the aisles of sheets, towels, and the like. So I walked around, touching all the rugs, comforters, and more.

El color beige era el único disponible y en realidad me encantó, además el diseño era bastante sencillo, pero por la calidad de las sillas decidimos no comprarlas, lamentablemente no había mas opciones pero seguiremos buscando. Para no perder el rato decidimos caminar para conocer toda la tienda. Una cosa que me encanta de estas tiendas son los pasillos de sábanas, toallas y así. Entonces por ahí iba yo tocando todas las alfombras, edredones y más.

Among the things I liked most to add to my wish list from this store are the picture frames and paintings. I don't currently have any paintings in my house, and the few photos I have are in very old-fashioned frames. So, I loved these options for updating walls and other spaces.

De las cositas que más me gustaron para agregar a mi lista de deseos de esta tienda estan los portaretratos y los cuadros, por wl momento no tengo ningún cuadro en mi casa y las pocas fotos están en marcos muy anticuados. Entonces estas opciones me encantaron para renovar paredes y demás espacios.

The hall of mirrors is one of those places you can't avoid; they have so many price and model options, but we recently bought the one we wanted. There are also sections with products on sale, where only one-off pieces remain. It's a good place to look for something specific and find a little bit of everything. I found the kitchen utensils to be of high quality, some of the best I've seen in a long time, and I would definitely recommend visiting this area.

El pasillo de los espejos es de esos imposible de evitar, tienen muchas opciones de precio y modelos, pero ya hace poco compramos el que queríamos. También hay secciones con productos en oferta de esos que solo quedan únicas piezas, es un buen lugar para buscar nada en específico y encontrar de todo un poco. Los utensilios de cocina me pareció que son de alta calidad, creo que de los mejores que he visto en mucho tiempo y sin duda les recomendaría que visiten esta zona.

And finally, the area that made me fall in love with this store and left me most eager to return is this one. An entire aisle filled with flowers, vases, foliage, and other decorations for countless occasions. As I walked through it, I thought about the thousands of options to create for my home, so it was definitely what I enjoyed the most. But when it comes to coming back, I'll have to find a companion who enjoys this area with me so we can make smart purchases, because my husband and I are not a match for each other.

Y por último, el área que me enamoró de esta tienda y que me dejó con mas ganas de volver es esta. Todo un pasillo lleno de flores, floreros, follage y demás para hacer decoraciones para infinidad de ocasiones. Cuando caminaba por el pensaba en las miles de opciones para crear para mi hogar así que en definitiva fue lo que mas disfruté. Pero a la hora de venir tendré que buscar una compañera que disfrute esta área conmigo y podamos hacer compras inteligentes porque con mi esposo nada que ver.

I plan to visit this store again because there were many items I liked that would work for me at home. Plus, for those of us who live in Venezuela, it's a blessing that these types of stores accept Cashea (an app for interest-free installment purchases) when paying, and that makes buying many things in our daily lives easier. Planeo volver a visitar esta tienda porque hubo muchas cosas que me gustaron y que me pueden funcionar en casa, además para los que vivimos en Venezuela es una fortuna que este tipo de tiendas acepten Cashea a la hora de pagar (aplicación para comprar en cuotas y sin intereses) y eso facilita la compra de muchas cosas en nuestra vida diaria.
