Trip to Montalbán (ESP/ENG)

It had really been a long time since I had seen these pictures, they are from some years ago, when we went to visit my dad's town and where most of my maternal and paternal family lives, even I lived there until I was eight years old, and the truth is that I had not been there for a couple of years, but on one occasion when we could, my family and I got ready and went there to visit my grandmother and other relatives, we really wanted to see them.
Tenía de verdad muchísimo tiempo que yo no veía estas fotos, son de hace algunos años, cuando fuimos de visita al pueblo de mi papá y donde vive buena parte de mi familia materna y paterna, incluso yo viví allí hasta los ocho años, y la verdad es que yo tenía al rededor de un par de años que no iba allí, pero en una ocasión en que pudimos hacerlo mi familia y yo nos alistamos y salimos rumbo hacia allá para visitar a la abuela y a otros familiares, teníamos muchas ganas de verlos.
The bus did not go to Montalbán but to Bejuma (the neighboring town). These towns are west of the Carabobo State in Venezuela, so we only had to walk a little to the next bus stop to take the one that would take us to our final destination.
El autobús no llegaba hasta Montalbán sino hasta Bejuma (el pueblo vecino) estos pueblos están al oeste del Estado Carabobo en Venezuela, así que solo teníamos que caminar un poco hasta la siguiente parada de autobús para tomar el que nos llevaría a nuestro destino final
But first, we took advantage of the opportunity to stroll around the town, which we hadn't visited for a while. We went to the tourist inn to eat and admire how beautiful it was, because it had truly changed a lot since the last time we saw it. The day was truly beautiful.
Pero antes aprovechamos de pasear un poco por ese pueblo al que también teníamos tiempo que no visitábamos, fuimos al parador turístico a comer y admirar lo bello que estaba porque de verdad había cambiado mucho desde la última vez que lo vimos. De verdad el día estaba precioso 😍
We finally arrived at the town, and as we passed Plaza Bolívar (the main square), we couldn't help but take a selfie to celebrate our arrival. It was a weekday, so the square was empty, giving it a ghost town-like appearance. I remember joking about it a lot that day, but we didn't stay there long because we were tired and wanted to get to our house in town to rest and visit friends and family. It was also very hot, and we wanted to cool off.
Finalmente llegamos al pueblo y al pasar por la plaza Bolívar (la principal) no podíamos dejar de tomarnos una selfie para celebrar que ya estábamos ahí. Era día de semana y por eso la plaza estaba vacía, lo cuál le brindaba una apariencia de "pueblo fantasma" así que recuerdo que bromeamos mucho con eso ese día, pero de todos modos no duramos mucho tiempo allí porque estábamos cansados y queríamos llegar a la casa que tenemos en el pueblo, para descansar y visitar a los amigos y familiares, además había mucho calor y también queríamos refrescarnos.
But I remember that the next day I returned to the square, precisely to the flower arch to take some photos, although the only one I keep is this one, I really like that place because as my sister says it is very instagrammable 😄
Pero recuerdo que al día siguiente regresé a la plaza, justamente al arco de flores para hacer algunas fotos, aunque la única que conservo es esta, me gusta mucho ese lugar porque tal como dice mi hermana es muy instagramer 😄
My sister and I haven't been to the town for a while. My mom and dad have been going more often, but it's a shame that the beach isn't as pretty as it used to be (according to what I've been told). Even one of the town's most iconic trees, called "Cotoperí," fell down. I hope that in the future both the mayor and the townspeople will pay more attention to the town. Anyway, friends, that's all for this week. I hope you enjoyed traveling back in time with me.
Actualmente mi hermana y yo tenemos mucho tiempo que no hemos ido al pueblo, mi mamá y mi papá si que han ido más seguido, pero es una lástima que la playa ahora ya no esté tan bonita como antes (según lo que me contaron) incluso uno de los árboles más emblemáticos del pueblo llamado "Cotoperí" se cayó, ojalá en el futuro tanto el alcalde como los mismos ciudadanos le pongan más atención al pueblo. En fin amigos, esto ha sido todo por esta semana, espero que les haya gustado viajar conmigo en el tiempo 😉
