Hellooooo Wow! It's been a while since I last posted something here in this beautiful community, but with this initiative I don't want to be left behind, the time has come to share my story with one of my favorite appliances, but first of all I want to invite you to participate in this initiative, there is until August 15th. Come on, there's still time! So I would like to invite my sister @bethyjade, my friend @ismaelgranados and my friend @eugemaradona to share their story with us with that appliance that makes their lives easier in some way. Holaaaaa ¡Wow! Cuánto tiempo tenía yo sin subir algo aquí en esta preciosa comunidad, pero con esta iniciativa no me quiero quedar atrás, llegó el momento de compartir mi historia con uno de mis electrodomésticos favoritos, pero antes que todo quiero invitarlos a participar en esta iniciativa, hay oportunidad de hacerlo hasta el 15 de agosto ¡Vamos que todavía hay tiempo! De esta manera me gustaría invitar a mi hermana @bethyjade, a mi amigo @ismaelgranados y a mi amiga @eugemaradona para que nos compartan su historia con ese artefacto que facilita su vida de alguna manera. There are several household appliances that are indispensable for making our daily lives easier in every way, but there's one in particular, relatively new because I've had it for about a year, that I'd like to tell you about: my air conditioner.
Hay varios electrodomésticos en casa que son indispensables para facilitar nuestra vida diaria en todos los sentidos, pero hay uno en particular, relativamente reciente porque lo tengo desde hace 1 año aproximadamente, del cuál me gustaría hablarles, me refiero a mi aire acondicionada.
Normally I didn't use air conditioning because I'm really cold and when the cold is excessive I feel extremely uncomfortable 😫, it even gives me headaches, so a fan was enough for me, and that was the case for many years, but there came a time when the heat became unbearable here in my city. The thing is that I live in a tropical country (Venezuela) and therefore we only have one season, summer all year round, of course there are areas of the country that are much hotter than others, but here where I live the heat began to intensify, or I don't know if it's that over the years I became more intolerant to high temperatures, although I don't like the cold either, I prefer cool environments. Anyway, last year I felt the need to buy an air conditioner and so did my parents, and Hive helped me a lot because I requested a power down, my sister did too, and in this way we saved up enough to buy two air conditioners, one for our parents and the other for our room, both Hyundai brand, 12,000 BTU.
Normalmente yo no usaba aires acondicionados porque realmente soy muy friolenta y cuando el frío es excesivo me siento extremadamente incómoda 😫, incluso me da dolor de cabeza, así que me bastaba con un ventilador, y así fue por muchos años, pero llegó un momento en el que el calor se volvió insoportable aquí en mi ciudad. Lo que sucede es que vivo en un país tropical (Venezuela) y por lo tanto solo tenemos una estación, verano todo el año, claro que hay zonas del país que son mucho más calientes que otras, pero aquí donde vivo el calor comenzó a arreciar, o no sé si es que yo con los años me volví más intolerante a las altas temperaturas, aunque de igual manera no me gusta el frío, prefiero los ambientes frescos. De todos modos el año pasado sentí la necesidad de comprar un aire acondicionado y también mis padres, y en eso Hive me ayudó muchísimo porque solicité un power Down, mi hermana también lo hizo, y de esta manera juntamos lo suficiente para comprar dos aires acondicionados, uno para nuestros padres y el otro para nuestra habitación, ambos de marca Hyundai, de 12 mil BTU.
It was a great option to cool down the rooms because, to top it all off, our house faces a street, with no houses in front of it, so at sunset the sun hits our house relentlessly, especially my bedroom window, making the thermal sensation even more relentless. Therefore, the air conditioning has helped me a lot in that sense, I only have to be warm when I'm in the bedroom hehe 😄.
Fue una gran opción para refrescar las habitaciones porque para colmo nuestra casa está frente a una calle, sin casas al frente, por lo tanto al atardecer el sol golpea con inclemencia nuestra casa, en especial la ventana de mi habitación, haciendo que la sensación térmica sea más implacable aún, por lo tanto el aire acondicionado me ha ayudado muchísimo en ese sentido, solo me toca estar abrigada cuando estoy en la habitación jeje 😄.
I have had some inconveniences like the noise it makes, since it is a window air conditioner and not a split which is quieter, and this noise is a problem when recording videos for my youtube and 3Speak channels, therefore I have no choice but to turn off the air conditioner, but a window air conditioner is significantly cheaper than a Split one, and the other problem is that sometimes it lets water fall into my room instead of outside and no matter how much we have put gutters or changed its position to try to conduct the water outside, it does not drip in a single point but from several, so in some way or another it seems like an impossible task to retain it in one place, but well, at least the air fulfills its function of keeping my room cool, something that has helped me even when there are power outages (which fortunately are lasting very little, at least in this part of the city, as far as I know) it has helped me because the room remains cool for a long time and this allows me to be away from the intense heat for a good period, unlike from before I had to deal with it as soon as the fan lost power.
He tenido algunos inconvenientes como por ejemplo el ruido que hace, ya que es un aire acondicionado de ventana y no un split que es más silencioso, y este ruido es un problema a la hora de grabar videos para mis canales de youtube y 3Speak, por lo tanto no me queda más opción que apagar el aire acondicionado, pero un aire acondicionado de ventana es significativamente más económico que uno Split, y el otro problema es que a veces deja caer agua hacia adentro de mi habitación en lugar de afuera y por más que le hemos puesto canaletas o lo hemos cambiado de posición para tratar de conducir el agua hacia afuera, esta no gotea en un solo punto sino por varios, así que de alguna u otra forma parece tarea imposible eso de retenerla en un solo lugar, pero bueno, al menos el aire cumple con su función de mantener mi habitación fría, algo que me ha ayudado incluso cuando hay cortes de energía (los cuales afortunadamente están durando muy poco, al menos en esta parte de la ciudad, que yo sepa) me ha ayudado porque la habitación permanece fresca por un buen tiempo y esto me permite estar lejos del calor intensivo por un buen lapso, a diferencia de antes que tenía que lidiar con él en cuanto el ventilador perdía energía.

Que bueno que tienen sus aires y que lograron adquirirlo. En Venezuela hay zonas muy calientes donde el calor es de temer y en esos estados un aire acondicionado es de extrema necesidad, una bendición. Saludos!

Qué bueno que hive te ayudo ha comprar tu aire con el power Downs? Yo estoy por sacar el mío pero voy a buscar ayuda porque nunca lo he hecho pero sé que es una gran ayuda.
Para mi el aire es otro de mis artefactos favoritos, no puedo vivir en casa sin aire , en Barquisimeto hay full calor.
