Five Old U.S. Quarters I Picked Up At Face Value.

All five of these quarters were giving to me as change from making random purchases.

I have had these quarters for a long time now, I had them in with a bunch of coins I have collected over the years. I don't remember the purchases but I picked up all of these from getting change after buying random things.

All five of these together are probably worth about $40, not bad for only having paid $1.25 for them. The 1929 has seen better days and the 1952 has some wear on it but the other three are in pretty good condition.

When I was younger I never considered myself as a coin collector but I always kept random older coins like these or wheat back pennies or anything from the 50's or earlier. I don't have a ton of coins but I do have a nice handful that I picked up over the years.

These are few and far between these days.
It's hard to find any silver coins in circulation anymore.

I haven't been as lucky. I continue check my local Coinstar coin counting machines and finding a variety of foriegn coins to expand my coin collection. A 1967 Canada Mackeral 10 Cents is still the only silver coin so far from a Coinstar. My latest finds are; Mexico 50 Centavo, Finland 1 Marrka, Malay 20 Sen.

This must have been a while ago I can't imagine very many silver coins still in circulation

Yes, it's been a long time and I don't do many
cash transactions any more so it's even harder
to get finds like these.

Yeah not really about the cash too but I feel like the chances of getting any now are incredibly low anyway

Now that's awesome! At face value can't get any better than that!

Geez, Mike! The 1929 one is two years older than my Dad. LOL. He has some wear and tear on him too.
Enjoy seeing what you've been collecting over the years.

Good Morning, Mike!
You're very welcome. Yeah, the Farmers Insurance commercial.
He knows a few things because he's seen a few things.
And now I just admitted how much TV I watch. 😂
Have a great day today, @maddogmike!

These quarters are really cool Mike. Thanks for sharing. The 1929 quarter is really different. Wow 1952, 1958, 1964, 1964. Awesome @maddogmike Have a great weekend.

The standing liberty quarter was the design before the Washington quarter which came out in 1932.

Very nice, Mike.
Most people do not pay attention to their change.

Thanks John!
It's true, these days most people don't even
look at their change. But there are far less
of these types of coins in circulation so
chances are very low of finding them.

Very handsome silver quarters, among my favorite constitutional coins. Don't nobody call them "junk". :-)
