I just got here; my hive journey begins

My name is Asamu Mary Praise. I am from Ogbomoso town in Oyo State, Nigeria. I am the second child of four children. I was born and raised in the northern part of Nigeria, Kano State to be precise, and I had my primary school education. I went to Bethma International School. mathematics and statistics as my favourite subjects while in primary school. I went with other students from my school for different competitions, where we won most of them.

After my primary school education, I wrote my common entrance examination, I wrote an entrance examination to Crescent college in Kano state, it had always being my dream school but due to some crisis that was putting my family lives and properties at risk , my mum siblings and I had to relocate from Kano to my hometown, Ogbomoso, but my dad had to stay back because the company he was working with had not given him the permission to transfer and I couldn’t go to the school any longer so I had to start my secondary school education at my hometown.

I remember always having to change schools almost at every class because of our constant moving and relocating, i later graduated from Maryland Catholic Grammar School, where I made four friends, we called ourselves the four musketeers, we were inseparable, we read together, we eat together, it was exciting and fun, after our final exams we all gained admission into different universities, and there was a break in our relationship but we still keep in touch, afterward I moved on to higher institution.

I wanted to study medicine and surgery at the university; I tried twice, but I was offered admission on a different course, so I later studied industrial chemistry at Ekiti State University. My undergraduate days at first were so overwhelming because I was adjusting to a new environment, but soon enough I was able to adapt, also with the help of God and studying my course was quite tasking but it enjoyed every bit of it.

I love learning new things, I love cooking, I love travelling and I love reading books. I like staying indoors most times, but I used to like going on adventures with my friends, but I still like my own space, and right now I prefer quiet places and peaceful environments to the loud ones, so I am neither an introvert nor an extrovert. I do have a flexible personality. I am an overthinker.

After graduating, while waiting for my National Youth Service mandatory programme for graduates in Nigeria, I took classes on digital literacy and other digital classes. I also worked as an assistant quality control personnel for some months.

Currently I am taking data analysis classes, as well as serving my father’s land. The data analysis class has been interesting exploring different numbers, statistical analysis, and data visualisation, as well as learning to know more on Excel, Python and the like. I will soon be done serving my father’s land, and I am open to other opportunities.

I heard about the hive blockchain from a friend @somuchgrace and I just love it and so i decided to join. Thanks to her and thank you to the hive blockchain for the opportunity to grow.
