The Income Difference Between Celebrities, Doctors and Teachers. Is It Really A Fair Share?

We all know that teachers and doctors are important people as well as one of the major professions that's really essential in our society. The duty of teachers however, is to educate, structure, and develop the potential of our next generation to become prosperous and successful individuals in the future. The fundamental information necessary to develop and direct one's profession in the future was passed down to them and so they pass the same knowledge down to others. Same thing goes for the doctors whose roles are also important in contributing to our society. They tend to save lives in the hospitals, perform surgeries, treat the sick and lots more.

The claim that celebrities are wealthier or much overpaid than teachers and doctors, however, is a hard one to consider and calls for complex logical reasoning. When I hear the word "celebrity," I immediately think of sports, actresses, musicians, artists, comedians, and other entertainment. Take note that unlike teachers and doctors, who receive salaries from their employers, celebrities however do not actually make a livelihood or earn their money through wages paid by their employers. Basically, they are where they are now as a result of the risks and sacrifices they made on their own to get there. To name a few, they host events, sell tickets to their performances, get endorsement agreements, sign contracts, conduct negotiations, secure sponsorship, connect with other celebrities, etc.

I think from my own point of view, I can't really compare teachers and doctors to celebrities. I would always say that there is no job out there that is more easy than the other or more difficult than the other. Every one of these jobs and people doing them has its own complexiies, risks, sacrifices and they've all faced its own challenges critically. No doubt, we can clearly recognize the marvelous jobs and contribution these teachers and doctors do in our society and I think that they are the most highly underrated jobs to some extent.
But you see, teachers and doctors are tied down to certain rules as employees of the government or firms who pay them fixed amounts of salary according to their ranking, while celebrities on the other hand make their own money through showing off their skills, talents and also, the level of effort they put in, that would determine their success rate.

However, these celebrities such as artists, musicians, athletes, footballers etc. are often seen for how much talent and skills they've got and what the market is willing to offer for their services and that shows why they earn more than these other professions (teachers and doctors). For example, we all know these two popular footballers, Ronaldo and Messi who are known for their great skill in football and we also know how well they're being paid for the entertainment they bring.

Conclusion

In my opinion, I don't think anything can be done as to why celebrities earn more because everything falls down to personal perspective. That's why I said from the onset, that the comparison between these two parties is a complex one and that everyone would have a different perspective of who and why this party is meant to earn more.

The comparison is complex. Celebrities make their money in no formal scale and that makes the comparison complex.

That's why I can't say for a fact that it is/isn't fair that they earn more than the teachers and doctors . I would rather say that the teachers and doctors deserves more but their profession shouldn't be compared with that of celebrities.
