The Adventure of a Blacklisted Café A Horror Story
There’s a cafe in town that I kept seeing being empty. It doesn’t look that bad from the outside, it looks homey and a cafe that I would love to visit. I just didn’t have the opportunity until today, when I finally got the chance to actually see why it’s struggling.
Still on the same topic as finding adventure, this time, I found that sense of adventure. Thanks to @namiks recommendation on finding more adventure, I eventually checked out this cafe and just went without any second thoughts.
As soon as I entered, I was greeted by 2 girls who aren’t exactly looking like a barista. It’s as if they were paid to be there, just to attend to the customer. When I made my order, I eventually asked if they accept cashless payment and apparently their machine broke or something. But after I said that I didn’t have any cash on me, they were willing to help me. So, I eventually paid and scanned through the place.
Their lawn is pretty neat. It has a good layout with various seatings that look pretty comfortable. I can see myself spending the afternoon and waiting until the sun goes down in this place. Except when it gets darker, it gets creepier with all the rooms being empty. I guess in this place, it’s like a breeding ground for indecency and later, actually some friends and family confirmed having to feel that vibe in the place.
Unfortunately, after settling in myself, I saw a man in his 40’s approach me. He’s one of the staff that worked in the place. He asked me where I was from, why I was alone, and all the questions that seemed a bit odd in this setting. Typically, cafe staff would leave you alone anywhere. So, eventually, I replied and sent a message that I didn’t want to be bothered.
It took about 30 minutes before I got my drink and I was shocked to find my drink was just actually a poor coffee. It was terrible and I don’t think they even used real coffee and even espresso at all. It tasted like a common sachet instant coffee at the price of a cafe made coffee.
When I drank my coffee, the man approached me back, whining about the economy and how he’s lost his income. He asked me if I know someone in need of an apartment or housing because he knows a place that he could get commission on. I said that I didn’t need it. He went on further telling me how he broke his phone and doesn’t have the means to eat anymore and find jobs.
As much as I could sympathize, that was an odd conversation I’ve had in a while.
Since I was alone there, after finishing the drink, I went home right away. It was bad to be in the place for so long considering it was so empty and eerie too with so many empty spaces unoccupied and so secluded.
I uploaded the story to my Whatsapp and some of my family & friends commented, the place is a no-go-zone. It’s one of those places that we should avoid because everything is just terrible but they did nothing about it. Now, I certainly won’t ever go back there and that’s another blacklisted cafe in my cafe book 😂
But I had fun. I had that sense of adventure and unpredictability I was looking for. With the usual coffee shops I go to, it’s all comfort and you will never encounter such. So, there it goes.
Gee! On such a unique adventure! Visiting dangerous places or forbidden areas, for sure, increases the adrenaline, and is morbid due to uncertainty. Sure, you ran with a lot of luck and experienced an unpleasant coffee. I don’t know if I would take a chance, even though in the past, I did worse things than this one.
Greetings.
Hahaha It was definitely unique and I got the adventure I needed. I definitely won't be coming back there because the coffee isn't good and the experience wasn't so pleasant all.
Wow!... Certainly a strange experience! 😐... But I loved the way you wrote this!... Very good work!!!!

Did you like it? Let's hope you don't have nightmares about that cafeteria later. 😅
Hahaha I am so going to have nightmares about it later.
😂
Where is it?
It's a terrifying horror suspense experience.Upon reading your blogs seems like my imagination brings me to this place.
Hahaha yeah the story can be quite creepy. I mean, I didn't expect it to happen but it did.
A Café Blacklist - nice! We have a few here, with way too much staff for the shitty quality they offer, both restaurants and cafés. First thing people say about them - "oh, they launder money". No real business can survive that long being that bad without some serious cash influx from somewhere...
Anyway, I dropped by a place that was open for a year now, to check it out. Coffee was decent, the barrista is a very nice guy. It's a café on my way to work - which is not long, like 200m from house to bakery. But the coffee is good for the price, and he fills up my to-go-cup to the top, and seems to love coffee. He had me smell a peaberry-medium/dark roast today that he kept as his personal stash. Maybe, if I become a regular, he'll let me try it. It did smell really good.

Hahahaha yeah, that's what we think about such cafes as it's pretty normal way to launder money too over here. They're just there to make sure the owner owns a legitimate business.
By the way, thank you for checking it out, not sure where time has gone but for me, these has been some of those busiest time in this month.
Noooo, but the place look nice and it's really like you're just at your home lawn. And that man really is weird, even if maybe he has good intention by doing it, it is just weird. And instead of approaching the costumer, they should really just work on their coffee no 🫠
Gosh what a scary experience! Usually I would check through Google reviews to see the rating of places that I am not so familiar.
A curious experience, things that happen once in a lifetime.
Still a fun experience in the end! I've roamed down so many unknown streets and walked into the doors of so many odd looking places, and even if I come out disappointed in the event it's a cafe, it was still fun trying something different and exploring, going beyond the usual locations that I've grown familiar with. I'm actually constantly on the hunt for them, because as much as I love the main spots, sometimes I want to feel a bit lost again and feel that sense of discovery.
I've encountered these a lot too. But that's also an experience. Sometimes you need to speak to such people to remember how so many others live, to remember to have a little empathy and realise that each person has their own stories to tell.
They were probably surprised to see someone arrive, especially by themselves. I'm sure most people that do go there go as a group. Oddly, that location doesn't seem too bad. It has a certain environment to it, it's just lacking life.
Reminds me of a place in Tbilisi that I sometimes went to, but eventually stopped; it was called Introvert Cafe and was owned by some lovely Russian people that would rent the space out to their friends for little swaps and events. But it was mostly unknown beyond the small Russian community in that district. Every time I went there it was almost empty, unless there was an event. The place had a beautiful interior and full of fun art, board games and books, but being the only people there, it felt uncomfortable. Almost like we'd stepped into someone's home and just made ourselves comfortable as the owners relaxed in their kitchen.
The coffee was good, the people were lovely, and the environment was a cozy space, but that atmosphere was lost. So quiet inside that even to talk to the person next to you it was like you needed to whisper. Eventually we just never went again.
Oh that was so creepy! I could not imagine myself going there alone or even ordering and sipping a cup of coffee there. You were so courageous! Though I was a lil bit sad about that man losing his income. I hope he can find a decent job to support his needs. That place definitely needs a glow up!
