The 90-Day In Data Do you remember your first post on hive?
Do you remember your first post on hive?
If you’re new, it’s easy to find your very first “Hello Hive” but what if you’ve been years on hive. How would you find your first ever post without having to comb through dozens of blocks and explorers & get the data within seconds?
Meet Hive SQL @hivesql which is the database of Hive containing all the information that you can find. Think about an organized library where information are categorized neatly and all you need is just some trick to find them. Can anyone really do that? Definitely.
The two things that you need are time and having the ability to read.
When you meet those two prerequisites, you will get to know SQL (sequel) which if you think about it is like the language that you use to communicate with data has been categorized and structured.
SQL isn’t that difficult to learn. The core concept of it lies in Select, From & Where. However, over the course of time there are variations to SQL which are referred to as “flavors” and they have its own ways of communicating with each other. Although there are some differences, if you think about it it’s like talking to toddler, to corporation and to common folks.
So, what kind of queries I can use to find my first post ever ?
SELECT Top 1*
FROM Comments
WHERE author = 'author'
AND depth = 0
ORDER BY created ASC;
See, easy peasy?
And this is my first ever Hive post, 7 Years ago during the “wild west of blockchain”

In this 90 days cycle, there are 3 things I am focusing on….
If you’ve been here long enough, since about late 2024 around October, I started a journey where I am living my life 90 days at a time. Why 90 days? It’s enough time for something to stick as a habit and see a progress.
Among all the things I’ve done in my previous 90 days, some of my achievements include:
📍Losing 20kg
📍Getting closer to my faith
📍 More productive than ever
📍Healthier and better mindset
And some other achievements that can’t be quantified but has transformed my life. I think among all the personal development attempt that I have tried doing, using this 90 days approach has proven to work and this is why, I constantly live 90 days at a time and improving my life as it goes.
The key to improving your life in 90 days is only stick to not more than 4 things at a time.
It’s really challenging to juggle so many things. If you want to save up more, eat healthier, workout more and want to see tangible results, 90 days are also a good stepping stone where you cover the basics but also enough to see some results.
During the 2nd phase of my 90 days, I’ve focused on too many things and I failed. There were too many things to do and not enough time to do it all. So, for now I’ve only focused on the things that truly is going to change my life which in this 3rd phase includes working out, studying for my COMPTIA cert before taking the exam and Data Science.

AI can do all the things you’re attempting to learn, why do that?
The craziest part I’ve found is that Github is now integrating Copilot which means anyone can code with just the right prompt. It’s also cheaper and faster to do it but there’s really one thing that even if AI can do that faster than my brain or us, it’s control and knowing where to place the code and read.
There is a merit in learning.
I Just Learned How to Sort Following List by Reputation With HiveSQL—Feels Silly but Exciting!
AI isn’t going to replace all the joy that we have when we’re able to understand something, to solve our problems just like I solved a problem that was unique for @lovesniper which AI or anyone outside the project wouldn't understand its struggle.
That can be said with “Why Write?” when AI can do everything we do faster and that can be said why “live” when everything we do is going to be replaced and done by AI.
There is a merit in our human values and our struggle in trying to better ourselves. AI wouldn’t be able to replace all that.
This is my first week in this new chapter of 90 days…
Expect that I’ll be sharing things from my journey with Data Science. There are so many things all around us even HIVE that we might not know but with this Data Science we can unlock many things. Things that you’re probably curious about. See you around :)

Wow! You achieved so much within 90 days and that's very impressive. Congratulations on smashing your set goals and I wish you all the best on the next 90 days.
It's always a task to go back looking for introductory post 😅,nice one. Let me quickly check yours out. Wow! I'm actually surprised that you've been on the blockchain for this long👏👏 7 whole years is a lot of time and you're doing amazing

I have always admired how organized you are, and in fact you remind me of myself a few years ago when I lived in my hometown. Now in the capital everything is more complicated, in fact my work in music is an adventure into the unknown every day... I say this because of all the topics you have touched on in this wonderful post, your idea of 90 days is attractive to me, and maybe it is a good way for me to come back to sanity hahaha. Thanks for sharing this, you always reach out to someone dear Mac!...
First off, I love how well you personalize and decorate your tracker. Instead of a regular sheet of paper or a random mobile application.
The 90days approach seems like a very favourable approach. This way, you are more focused and do not have to deal with juggling so many tasks at the same time. If I'm being honest, I would like to apply this approach as I'm quite confident that my productivity would be increased.
Off to scribble down my priorities. And Thank you🤍
I cant even remeber mine, this is a great piece but aside from first post cant you find other post as well in term of maybe title
Yes, I remember my first post, I shared some photos and something about my village. Even though it's been about 3 years, I remember it like the first day :)
