Sunday Reset: Cleaning, Gardening, and Decluttering

Sometimes you really need to just step out of the screen and refresh your space. With my table being a little cluttered and my mouse pad starting to accumulate dirt, I made the effort to clean them up today. A dirty desk isn’t really motivating and for someone who spends a lot of time on it, that can feel pretty demotivating. Recently, I changed the layout in my room because now I have a bed and while it isn’t ideal, for now keeping things clean has become my priority more than anything.

Just as you can see, my table was cluttered.

Then this afternoon with some free time and time to get productive again, I cleaned everything. I even washed my mouse pad because they make a good photography background most of the time.

Currently, I am also using a 60% mechanical keyboard, I’ll be reviewing them soon as I am currently testing it and my fear of the keycaps being awful like my previous keyboard. So, I am really taking the time before I am sure they’re good to go to be reviewed.

I had a great rest this week along with so many new shipments that just came to our house. We recently transported more stuff into our house that could be restored and cleaned. Yet for now, I am really just putting them into the back of my mind. For now, I just want to get my room properly set up and I am finally not sleeping on the floor anymore. After cleaning stuff, I went outside and used my camera. It has been a while since I have taken pictures with it. So, today, I was capturing the sky as it made some interesting holes and I wish it would rain soon.

Speaking of which, my chili is growing and so are the spring onions that I planted a while back. I have to admit, I failed in watering them these last couple of days. But today, I’m restarting all of my routines since I do want to see my chili bear fruit. So, hopefully within a couple of months, they’ll bear chili.

Sitting outside also gave me the clarity I needed. Now I understand why old people enjoy sitting outside for the sake of it. I guess it gives them a sense of relief from their life and their stress. I guess it also works the same way with smoke breaks. I really hope the temperature lowers down very soon since it’s extremely hot outside and I don’t do well in heat.

This week, I don’t read much but today before Monday, I’ll try to read something simple as we have #mondaybook prompt over Hive book club. It’s something that’s fun to do and helped me read a lot. I guess I’ll be talking about the books I’ve read in August and making them as a collection soon as well.

The Sunday reset is always fun to do. Technically sunday is the day when I am buzzing and motivated again but every week, I do have a habit to use a day talking to my family, checking up on them, cleaning my space and my coffee station, restock the groceries and eventually tell my mom what should she cook for the week. These days I delegate cooking to her and it has been quite a life saving to me. Usually whenever I am cooking, that’ll take away 2 hours of my time and having her help me with that, was definitely something nice.

Speaking of the weightloss I did, this week, my meal plan and calories are all over the place. While I am still working out, I wasn’t exactly eating like the meal plan I had. While I am not eating in excess when you’re so used to counting calories and being consistent with it, anything over 2000 calories is too much. I am happy though that nowadays my blood sugar test came out pretty okay and under 100 mg/dL 2 hours after eating. I need to keep it up because in the past, 2 hours after eating mine always came out a little over 115 mg/dL. More updates will come tomorrow and hopefully, I am losing more than 7 pounds too.

Sounds like a great day for me, although there was a bit of work tidying up the desk, but in my case that creates a bit of peace haha.
Your seedlings look beautiful I too have some spring onions growing, let's hope they do well.
Hugs

Let's hope yours grow as well! I love spring onion and that's why I am attempting to grow them at home so I don't have to buy them anymore :D but we'll see how that goes. Thank you for checking out, I hope your Sunday was awesome :)
