Redmi Pad SE 11” in 2025 Simple, Solid, and Still Relevant
「 Is the Redmi Pad SE Still Worth It in 2025? 」
Redmi
This year for my birthday, I was gifted a tablet. I had the ability to choose the kind of tablet that I wanted and I decided to get a simple Redmi Pad SE 11 inch. This tablet was released back in 2023 and positioned itself as a budget-friendly tablet. For the purposes that I need like reading, watching netflix and studying as well as a device that I use for outside of work purposes, it does the job. With many tablets in this range and many brands are offering more features in 2025, is it still really worth it to get this Tablet? Let me tell you that it still does and here’s why!
Build, Quality and Specs
There are several colors for this tablet but I chose mint green and its overall body is covered in an aluminum frame. So, it has this sleek and classy look to it. Honestly, when compared to Huawei, I can’t lie that Huawei looks way better in terms of its build and design quality. But the Redmi Pad SE 11 inch does the job when you’re on a budget and still looking for the same quality build.
Redmi Pad SE display is actually available in two different options. There is the 8.7 inch and the 11 inch one. So, depending on the size that you prefer and like, they have some options for you. For me, since I like the screen slightly larger, I went for the 11 inch which gives me enough viewing for either studying or simply reading a book.
Inside the box, you will be given a charger and a manual book. There’s no additional cover nor stylus that comes from this tablet. So, it’s really just the tablet and its minimal accessories.
Since I don’t play games, the Snapdragon 680 + 4/6/8 GB RAM is enough to cover my needs which are mostly for productivity purposes. However, I reckon for those who enjoy light gaming, this is also best for you as long as it’s not a game that is memory consuming because then you would have to upgrade to something a lot better and upgrade your budget as well.
What I like best from this version is definitely the ability to do almost anything similar to my laptop. It offers a split-screen view where we can see two screens at the same time. This feature really helps especially when I am reviewing materials and need the note on the left side.
Cons
By the way, this tablet does not come with a stylus. So, you would have to purchase an additional keyboard and universal stylus. I have tried their in-built notes app and it works pretty great. So far, I had a great experience with the stylus and the keyboard that I purchased outside the original version. While they do not really feature palm rejection, it works pretty great if your need is just to take notes and no serious drawing.
If you’re hoping to take some pictures with it, this tablet isn’t equipped for serious mobile photography but just enough to take pictures of files or documents that you might need. It’s also decent enough to take video calls. So, if you’re taking video calls with it, this tablet works for you. This is the look for the photography result and clarity of the media from the device.
I’ve been using it for about a month now and I have not encountered any issues. I like the battery life and how it does the job for many things I need that are outside work related needs. If you’re someone who is in the market for a tablet and looking for something decent under $200, this tablet does the job for you.
Can you use peakd in this tablet?
Yes but unfortunately for some reason hive keychain has 3.6 rating which I wonder why and somehow I don’t trust it to download in my tablet. But if you open peakd, you can use HiveAUTH and it works just fine. So, if you’re someone who want to access Hive through it, that’s definitely possible for just commenting or doing things that you would normally do through your phone or laptop.
Afterall, I am happy with it. I have no issues and though I don’t really use it for Hive related things, it just does the job and even in 2025, you can still purchase this tablet and that would still be relevant for your needs until the next 2 years in which you’ll likely need to upgrade to something better.
See you in my next review!

Thank you @stresskiller !
Yeay, finally you buy this
hehe yes!
First of all, congratulations on your birthday and how nice that you were able to choose your gift. This tablet has good performance for what you need; as you say, for productivity. Suddenly it works for games that don't take a lot of resources; But I love its design and the 11 inch screen gives us a lot of viewing range. Congratulations.
Redmi Pad SE 11 gave very nice update.your Best choice. Birthday wishes. May your time be beautiful.
Thank you so much. It was the best birthday gift :)
Pretty neat! We bought the same for our daughter a few months back. She uses it for drawing and studying as well. I think she's also able to maximize its use. The universal stylus we bought is quite bad- it has to be tilted at a certain angle so it would work. It annoys me as a Samsung Galaxy Tab user, this stylus knows how to test my patience. 😅
What kind of stylus did you get? Honestly, I have a universal one but looking to get a replacement since mine is kinda bad too 🤣
Without a doubt a good option...
Indeed, one of my best purchase in 2025
Great review of this tablet, it looks quite amazing and adaptable with many useful functions, a very high quality product.
