July Sunset & Sick Days
「 July's Sunset 」
Just a few hours after taking amazing sunset pictures, I fell sick. It was like the start of me exploring things I’ve been falling out of love for a while.
The sunset was pretty that day and you know, I just couldn’t miss it. I took these pictures and was so amazed to see how round and pretty it was. Sure, it’s not like the prettiest sunset that you might see over the coast or from some high rise building but it was pretty, considering I live in a small and honestly pretty boring town.
I wish I could erase the wires over all over the area. There were not that many building though just unkempt wires that blocked the view. There were also some trees that add more mystery and depth to it. I appreciate the trees but not the wirest.
At the time, my mom was doing her monthly gathering with the rest of the neighbors while I was taking the sunset pictures. Some curious neighbor asked what I would do with the sunset picture and I told them just for collection.
During the time I was sick, I got to see some series I’ve not seen in a while. Like The Sandman, Lockwood Co, Santa Clara Diet, Superstore, you know I could go on and on cause I literally just high on some meds my doctor prescribed me and I could only be functional for like 30 minutes then crashed once again.
And.. that was on repeat for almost a week now with a little sign of me recovering.
On Saturday, I was hosting this hive book chat but with probably around 8% of my energy. So, it wasn’t optimal but there were 2 hivers tuning in. Shout out to @justfavor and @omokhafue. It was a last minute type of thing but I am glad to have been following through. I heard them recommending some books but now I’ll have to check back just to make sure I know it.
Today I felt like I have a lot more energy just cause my mom is pretty sick and we both can’t be sick. That would be pretty disastrous. So, I have to force myself to get healthier quicker than she is. I ended up checking out some hive and some files and stuff I did that I have no recollection of since the last couple of days since things are a bit blurry.
Now that it’s my mom’s turn to fall sick, I am definitely having to be the caretaker. Oh and it’s also the first time I’ve had coffee after a few days without having them. It shows that apparently, I can have life without coffee. It’s just… quite different from my normal day-to-day life where coffee is present.
I don’t know if anybody feels that way but to me, it felt like I was living in some type of fog, being sick and I don’t even remember much about it. One thing for sure though, I am so well-rested, like I’ve never been before. So, maybe it’s a good thing. How have y’all been? Is everything great?
So beautiful sunset view. Its shape so beautiful nice
Aah nice to feel better and healthier always. The sunset is pure gorgeous 😍
The sun looks like a ball of fire cooling down
Hehehe yes! It's so cool isn't it?

I'm glad you've found the strength to write. I hope you'll be back on your feet soon, and the same goes for your mum. The photos are lovely, a nice reminder that the sun that sets will rise again. Without that fog. 😘
hehehe thank you @palomap3, today we're both a bit better. The weather has been pretty chilly and cold. It's the kind of weather that makes you sick.
I'm glad to read you're getting better. These sunset pictures are unique and pretty;)
Thank you OMO! I have so many things I need to let out 🤣
I am still not really back to my fullest power, but the weather has been not very good lately Cem. The seasonal changed (with more rain than it supposed to be in the dry season), might alaso affecting our body.
I am happy that you get more energy, and I wish you a speedy recovery, and also for your mom.
Sunsets radiate hope as much as the sunrise do: perhaps because of their unique beauty as fading rays stretch across the vast sky, or maybe because it's a good source of Vitamin D. Some articles I've read says you can be under the sun anytime of the day, except between 11 a.m and 2:00 p.m. ,when it's usually the hottest and could potentially harm your health. Vitamin D regulates mood and strengthens the immune system.
I'm sorry to hear that both you and your mom became sick. Take care.
Lovely photos, Mac, but not as lovely as it is to see you back! I'd been having a peek at your comments yesterday after you were missing in action, so I read that you were ill.
Hope you're getting back to full fitness and mum gets well soon.
Look after each other and take care always :-)
hehehehe yes, the weather has been a bit awful around here and we've been battling with all sorts of illnesses. Even now, I am relatively better and trying to catch up with life and what not 🤣 I hope you're fine Nathen, is the weather pretty bad where you at too?
The sunset was so perfect, I'm really amazed everytime I saw sunset. This month also I got sick. Because of the weather, it was hot on day and there's a heavy downpour every night. Take good care everyone.❤️
Allowing the body to rest is good, to be able to compose energy to move forward, the view of the sunset looks beautiful, a very beautiful shot indeed.

Even in tough times, you managed to find beauty and stay connected—so inspiring! Hope you and your mom both recover quickly. And those photos? Really calming and nice to look at."
Get well soon… I think I was deciphering some hieroglyphics here when I saw you mention that you can live without coffee. Smiling is good for the soul, so laugh a little. And may your mum get better soon too
It looks really beautiful, I have fallen in love with this sunshine
I am praying for you and your mom a fastest recovery. Getting sick isn’t easy. You need to be strong. Get up and drink medicine.
Hope you are feeling better by the time you see this! We all have ups and downs in life - and I guess falling sick and getting better is also part of it. Time to go out and get the coffee! ;)
The only time I truly rest is when I'm sick. Frequent sinus infections plague me and drain my energy fast, grabs hold of me, and threatens to drag me into the abyss. Behind my pupils feel like someone is stabbing my sockets. And, my body feels like a Mack truck ran over it.
Now that's sick. And it leaves me in a fog for days where I don't dare make decisions or quick moves. Thank God for my spouse.
