Exploring the Amazing Beauty of El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
Hello everyone,
Today I would like to share one of nature's amazing blessings in my home country the Philippines, a land of seven a thousand islands.
Several summers ago during our visit to relatives and friends in the Philippines, we went to El Nido, one of the country’s top tourist destinations, for an hour’s flight from Manila. With its white sand, clear turquoise water, and stunning
limestone rock formation, it undoubtedly is an amazing natural beauty.
The best parts of the area can only be reached by boat or island-hopping tour. We booked these tours and are sharing with you the breathtaking scenery of the hidden beaches and lagoons.
Surrounded by limestone cliffs towering majestically above the turquoise water, the Big Lagoon was our favorite spot. The temperature here was cooler because of the shadows from the huge karst cliffs around it.
Enveloped around by trees and plants-covered tall limestone cliffs, Cadlao Lagoon seemed like a fortress landscaped by nature.
The other lagoons are similarly dotted with mystical jagged rock formations, fine white sand, and incredibly clear emerald water, all these characteristically of natural beauty.
The island-hopping tour did not only include lagoons and beaches but the Cudugnon Cave. Hidden on a picturesque beach, it has a narrow opening.
Getting into the cave is a little bit tricky. We crawled through a small hole between a projection of two rocks. Our tour guide demonstrated how to position ourselves and laid out life jackets to cushion the rough surface and protect us from getting bruised as we entered the cave.
The cave’s open roof provided natural lighting inside the cave.
We didn’t need a flashlight or torch to see the absolutely beautiful limestone formations on the walls and ceilings, the amazing art of nature.
That's El Nido, an enchanting gift of nature, surely a place I would not mind going back to, time and time again. Do come and visit it someday.
