Top things to get in Sarawak

Hi.. Good morning, all my wonderful friends here on Hive. Today, I am going to showcase some of Sarawak's treasures, and they are a must-buy if you visit Sarawak in the future. These are the top 8 things to buy from Sarawak. Many things are manufactured in Sarawak and if your coming to Sarawak as a tourist, these are some of the must buy if you visit a grocery store here.

The first is

CAP BURUNG BAYAN SAMBAL LAKSA SARAWAK

This is one of the key ingredients that is made here in Sarawak. A type of curry paste that has its ingredients sourced here in Sarawak to make the ultimate Sarawak Laksa.

Sarawak Laksa

This is one of the ultimate Sarawak must have dishes here to try out. The curry is thick and has ingredients like chicken flakes, bean sprouts, prawns, and rice vermicelli. The curry is super good.

The Sarawak Mee Kolok

A lot of Sarawakians love to eat Kolok Mee for breakfast. So one company decided to make these noodles into an instant packages while retaining their original taste.

Sibu Instan Kampua - A type of noodles that is boiled in water for a while. The the bowl is placed with the delicious sauce.

It won't taste exactly like this, as you can see in the picture, but it is similar. I've tried a couple of packets myself.

Sarawak Spices

These are the black and white pepper powders. What they do to dishes is to add a slight spiciness to the overall taste but not too spicy.

At every single table of a restaurant in Sarawak, there is a bottle of white pepper. If you do feel that your noodle taste a bit plain, you can just pour some of the spice into the noodle and it tastes a lot better.

The black pepper

The TOP 8 must buy souvenirs in Sarawak at a supermarket here in Miri.

LEE FAH MEE ( Noodles Abalone and Chicken flavour)

The Lee Fah Noodles are quite popular here. Made here and is a local Sarawakian brand.

Then, there is also Daddy Mee. Yea. The unique naming system here.

Some coffee choices

Yih Foh coffee is not from Sarawak but from East Malaysia too from the state of Sabah. It is made in Sabah and is quite aromatic from the moment you pour hot water on the coffee bag in a cup.

City Cafe is Sarawak's Coffee brand and is made in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak.

Lee Fah Mee Noodle Snack

The delicious snack from Sarawak. It's noodles that is fried to become crispy and you can break it into small bits and eat as snack.

Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a wonderful day ahead.
