Tea - One of my favourite places to hang out of all time

Happy Saturday, all my wonderful friends here at Asean Hive. How are you? It is now August. Another couple of months left before we head into 2026.

Let's visit this bakery here in Miri. TeaCo is one of the most popular shops here, where you can get some locally made delights. Wooden panels as part of their decor.

This is a wonderful bakery. They have lots of different beverages here, to that you can choose from.

The interior design seems like it is European or Western inspired.

Cheese Sticks as well as Mushroom Quiche Tart

These desserts look quite apetizing. They have lots of different choices of stuff to try out here.

DONUT STICKS

These are donuts on a stick. Normally, you see skewers on a stick but these are donuts on a stick. Yummy.

SESAME MANGI

These baked desserts are all made daily fresh and heated in an oven.

These are some of the fried doughs with sesame covered all over them, which are some of the traditional Sarawakian desserts here. These taste slightly sweet. Families here love buying them and dunking them into different beverages for their breakfast or afternoon tea.

A huge croissant on the wall

The wooden decor inside this place makes it quite comfortable as you walk inside and enjoy your afternoon tea. Croissant is one of those great baking inventions.

So many croissants on the walls. These are not edible. So if your hungry and try to eat one off the wall, definitely is a no no.

They also have many different types of buns that they hand made every single day with different fillings inside.

This is a comfortable place to just sit their and enjoy your afternoon here.

This is their drinks selection. So many different beverages to choose from. That is their mascot and not many mascots are inspired by food.

Happy Saturday too! TeaCo looks like such a cozy and charming place to hang out! The croissants on the wall are so funny, looks real but not for eating. 🤣

Omg! That shop is seriously filled with yummy looking pastries. The place looks good too, with a brighter ambiance in it. Tea with their pastries would be for sure a perfect combo.
