Ocean Park Hong Kong

Good morning, all my wonderful friends. How has your week been?

I had breakfast in the morning at the Caritas Bianchi cafe which is located on the 6th floor of the lodge.

Now, I am heading out to Ocean Park. Going to be using the Mass Transit Railway. The journey takes around half an hour.

The view from the lobby of the hotel. There is a slight slope to the main streets of Yau Ma Tei.

This place is quite strategic as it is located right in the heart of Hong Kong. It is within walking distance of areas like Mong Kok as well as Tsim Tsa Tsui, which are places of interest in Hong Kong.

I went to this shop near the hotel and saw Coffee from Malaysia.

OLD TOWN WHITE COFFEE

from the state of Penang, Malaysia. This is one of the most famous coffees of Malaysia.

Everywhere in Hong Kong are buildings. There are not many areas of open spaces. There is a person everywhere.

The cool weather.

While walking around in Hong Kong, I did not even sweat at all.

We walked to the station of Jordan.

I tried to take a photo of most of the walls of the stations. These have names outside. Each station is unique, and the whole station has that same colour. For Tsim Tsa Tsui, for example, is in the darker shade. The whole station is in this colour. Quite unique. In Malaysia, everywhere is bright. Each station looks the same.

We were near Ocean Park. One more station left.

A lot of walking, and finally, we reached Ocean Park. I was wondering if I could actually spend the whole day here . I was here at around 930 a.m.

Walking out of the station and to the turnstile. I did not bring my selfie stick as I read that it would not be allowed, but then I saw someone bringing one it in. As long as it is not big, it is allowed. I remembered this as in a few days, I was going to visit Disneyland.

The crowd built up. But it did not take long, and I got in. Ocean Park is more relaxed. Less crowded at most rides, and the waiting time is usually a lot shorter than at Disneyland. More open spaces, and this place is huge.

Ocean Park has collaborated with Sanrio. This place is absolutely amazing. I wanted to ride the extreme rides, but I chose to skip this time around. I went on those family-friendly ones. Although, I love roller coasters.

The weather all this while has been amazing. A bit dark, but then, no rain. Great for any outdoor activity like heading to Ocean Park. The last time I went to a theme park was to Universal Studios Singapore with my wife and that was in the year 2018.

The iconic main area of Ocean Park. This is the main area after the entrance.

There are lots of food stalls here. One thing I brought with me was the powerbank. The must have essential to make sure that my devices last throughout the day.

One of the things we wanted to ride in is the cable car. This is fun. No doubt. You get to sit in a cable car that moves along the mountainside overlooking the ocean.

The cable cars head to the upper sections of Ocean Park. This park is huge. I did not manage to ride on every single ride here.

Thank you very much for reading this post.

This is the first section of Ocean Park. I want to take my time to slowly write these posts of my trip to Hong Kong.

It has been wonderful all the way.

Nice! My wife would love this place, especially since they’re collaborating with Sanrio.

I went to Japan last January (only transited through Hong Kong though), and I’ve been wanting to go back. The weather was cold, but honestly, that’s part of what I loved about it.
