Macau Zhu Hai bridge - The 24-hour bus service

After a long day in Macau, it was time to headback to Hong Kong.

Initially, I wanted to use the ferry to get back to Hong Kong.

Macau has been wonderful. My battery was draining fast. I had to get back to Hong Kong.

Arrived here around 9 p.m. I charged my phone while in the bus that headed for the HZMB Macau.

HZMB Macau is huge. This bus terminal does not look like a bus terminal. It looks like an airport.

As I walked into the buildings, I saw lots and lots of people. So many people are heading into the terminal to board the bus to either Zhuhai or Hong Kong. Nowadays, it is quite convenient to travel around China.

There are still a lot of people. Usually, in Miri, where I am from, you don't see much activity as it gets late. Everyone goes home early to have a rest. After getting the tickets at the counter, it was time to get on the bus. On the ticket, there is no time that is stated. So, you just walk to the bus that you are going to sit and if it is available, you can just take a ride on that bus. That's amazing service.

The whole journey takes about 1 hour. A smooth ride. Everyone in the bus was quite tired. I could see some of the passengers resting their heads to sleep.

There was also a charging port to charge my phone.

Finally reached HZMB Hong Kong on Lantau Island.

Amazing.

I saw long lines of passengers getting their passports checked. It took around close to one hour to get my passport checked and cleared. So many passengers.

After that, it was time to head out. Battery had mostly recovered.

After walking out of the terminal, it was time to check out which bus to take that heads back to Yau Ma Tei. The area that I was staying for the whole week.

The list of all the buses to take to the city.

A21 is to Yau Ma Tei. This was the bus that I needed to take.

Bus A 21 - This bus gets to the city. Got my Octopus card ready on my phone, tapped, and got on the bus.

Riding the bus is one of the best ways to get around the city. It usually leads directly to the places you want but one thing is that they stop for only 30 seconds so you need to know which area your heading to. Before the stop, you have to be prepared to get down.

A half-hour ride to the city. Time to rest for a while after a long day walking around Macau.

Near the city area.

Going to press the stop button.

Thank you very much for reading this post.

Have a great day ahead.
