Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is a famous tourist destination. It is home to the tallest mountain in Malaysia. One of the tallest in the world. Kota Kinabalu is a popular Korean destination. There are lots of things to do here. The last time I came to Sabah was in 2020 and 2019. I drove around Kota Kinabalu using a rented car. This time, I drove from Sarawak.

OYO 818 Hotel

My wife rented this hotel. Located in the heart of the city. This hotel is in the center of the city. That's the benefit. The things that this hotel needs to improve on are the provision of floor towels, enough toiletries, and a proper heating system.

This hotel is strategically located directly in the heart of the city. You can just walk out and there are lots of restaurants here to eat. There is even a huge mall that is around a couple of blocks away.

I could see some tourists walking around the city. It's great to see tourists coming back again.

Sabah is quite safe. In the past, there were some areas where I still remember when I was young. When I came here, there were some of those people who came from the opposite side of the island. Nowadays, this seems to not exist.

We were hungry and stopped by this restaurant to eat here. After a long drive of 8 hours to reach Kota Kinabalu, a short nap. It was already 5 pm. Getting dark. I was prepared to go to eat.

It felt great to take a short week off. The next day, I was headed up to Kundasang. Stayed two nights there. The last time I came, I stayed there for three nights. This is one of those places where you can basically enjoy some winter vibes. The temperature there usually dips pretty low.
