Kodak Charmera
Good morning to all my wonderful friends here on Hive. We are going to be in the year 2026 in a few more days. Time flies.
What is your new year resolution like?
I recently bought into the hype.
The charming little camera known as Kodak Charmera. I initially ordered this camera from TaoBao but it took a while for them to ship the camera. Then, I went to Shopee and noticed that one seller was selling this camera for a reasonable price.
Pressed order and a couple of days later, the camera arrived. I will include some photos here and let you know what I think of this camera.
I got myself a blue Kodak Charmera.

I want the yellow one, but did not get it. It comes in a blindbox.
One of the things not expect from this camera is for it to be a modern vlogging camera. This camera is suitable for those who love cameras and all things camera.
This is the box that it came in.

Bright, vivid yellowish orange colour.

There are six models.

The camera has a small image sensor and captures only 1.6 megapixels as compared to the millions of pixels modern cameras can capture.
It comes with a keychain that you can attach to the camera.

The Blue Vintage Charmera. One of the coolest gadgets out there.

The Charmera, 1987. The vintage camera.

The little booklet showing the original Kodak Fling. That was made in 1987.

This is the Kodak Fling. The Kodak Charmera is modeled after this camera.

At the back is a small display screen. Quite useful to check the photo before snapping one.

These are some of the photos taken by this camera. These photos give you that vintage vibe.
Nasi Lemak in the 1980s.

Christmas vibes but with the vintage filter.

One of the shops that I visited to eat.

A bowl of delicious Malaysian dessert.

Miri City .

This looks quite amazing. These photos, despite being quite blurry is quite unique. All the cameras now are sharp and clear, but this camera seems to bring back those good old times. Imagine being excited with every single camera advancement.

Epic! I know we can apply filter to any photo taken with phone, but having such a dedicated device can always remind us to find something really vintage to shoot it as if we're in the old days. Love the point to shoot one time use camera design too.
