Evening Vibes in Hong Kong

It is 5 p.m., and we have been here for the whole day at Ocean Park. This has been a really nice day. Well spent.

I spent a day here at Ocean Park, and it was time to head back to the city centre, which is around half an hour from where I was staying. The tickets for one pax at Ocean Park are around RM 250 a day / USD 62.

Helpful that there is an MRT map at most stations to let you know exactly how you can reach certain places around the city. Usually, before heading out for the day or heading to any place around the city, I spend a bit of time studying the map to get an idea of what bus to take and the shortest route.

The red line here is the line that goes to the city of Hong Kong.

Everyone here is waiting calmly for their train ride. All orderly. You have usually around less than a minute to board the train.

The MTR is full. It's great to be spending some time in a full carriage like this. In Miri, where I am from

Even when at times, the carriage inside can be quite packed. Everyone is in their own world. Chill and relaxed. No one seems too rushed.

I still remember Hong Kong to be a city where everyone was rushing. Maybe that was when I was still a young lad.

The bamboo scaffolding of Hong Kong. This has been the preferred way for Hong Kong's construction industry.

I can imagine how brave these construction workers must be to climb all the way up.

Some parts of the city use metal scaffolding at the moment.

It's amazing how many floors of scaffolding this building has that is made of bamboo.

I stayed at Yau Ma Tei, and walking along these roads that is just directly facing the highway is surreal. You see people everywhere walking around. Lots of red taxis are driving past. In Malaysia, there are almost no more taxis in existence.

T

There is a Japanese Restaurant and a 7-11 near the hotel where I was staying at.

The view of the street just outside the hotel where I have been staying in Hong Kong. Before you return to the hotel, there is a slight uphill battle.

The view from my hotel on the 16th floor. Despite not having the harbour or street view, it was still worth to look at a forest everyday.

This little gem is also a place that people exercise. I saw someone just casually doing their workout here.

Night was coming.

The windows start to fog up. If you touch the windows, you can feel it to be slightly cold. I did not even turn on the aircon for the whole week I was here in Hong Kong. Too cold.

Thank you very much.

It really shows the rhythm of Hong Kong life, from the busy streets to the peaceful evening.😊
