Dinner at a popular porridge restaurant here in Hong Kong

Good morning everyone, it is another wonderful Sunday. In a week here, in Malaysia, it is going to be Chinese New Year.

I was on a bus heading back to the city of Hong Kong. Sitting on the bus is one of the best feelings here in Hong Kong.

I saw this lady pushing a trolley with some paper boxes and metal, probably for recycling. It was not early anymore.

We were hungry and wanted hot food.

I went to Hing Kee restaurant in Hong Kong for a delicious plate of porridge and their famous oyster omelette.

They have three shop lots' worth of spaces.

We were sitting next to some of the locals.

A famous YouTuber visited this restaurant a while ago.

Their famous fried oyster omelette. This is a must try if you are here in Hong Kong. Something special and uniquely Hong Kong.

The oyster is fried till it becomes huge in size. You can chew on it, and it is quite crispy. But, a bit slightly oily. A couple of days in Hong Kong and I noticed that a lot of Malaysian food has its inspiration from Hong Kong. The food is similar to what I have in Malaysia.

I got myself a bowl of porridge. The bottom of this bowl is a lot of burnt rice. Those bits are the best part of this whole bowl.

It was getting late after a late dinner. Usually, I eat dinner in Miri at around 6 p.m. On average, I have eaten dinner in Hong Kong at around 8 or 9 p.m.

After a whole day of being out, the best thing to do thereafter is to just lie down in bed.

After a nice night of sleep, it was another day to explore. We wanted to explore Wang Fuk apartments as well as Kowloon Walled City Park.
