Chinese New Year Vibes

Good morning all my wonderful friends here at Hive. It is the Year of the Horse.

In Malaysia, the Chinese New Year is a big celebration. Schools are given a one week holiday here in Miri.

Before the CNY, there is a bazaar where sellers can sell their food and it ends just a day before the celebrations. A lot of people also have travelled abroad just to get some time off from the hustle and bustle of life.

Is Chinese New Year celebrated in your country?

The god of fortune. This year hopefully is a grear year and we can get as much wealth as we all can as well as to stay healthy.

The malls here compete with each other for the best decorations. After Christmas decor ends, the next decor after that is the Chinese New Year decoration.

Chinese New Year eve falls on the 16th of February 2026. Monday.

This year all the food was prepared at home by my mom. Usually, we would pre order the food and bring it back home. However, the food is usually cold.

So this time, most of the food is prepared at home instead.

In the past, my parents usually gave me red packets . Now, I am giving them. This is quite sad as they are getting older.

After eating, it was time to head to the living room and enjoy the family gathering.
