Ate at a famous restaurant in Macau

After an hour of ferry ride, we were finally in Macau.

This is the post before this.

Hong Kong to Macau.

I took a taxi to the city of Macau, and the driver was driving fast. As we reached our destination,

I was hungry, and we were searching for this famous restaurant here in Macau. It was already 1 p.m. We were really hungry at this point. We took the ferry from Hong Kong at around 11:30 a.m. and ate breakfast at around 8:30 a.m.

After reaching Wong Chi Kei, Macau, I got myself a card with a number for me to wait. It was at the moment number 133.

This is number 149. I spent an hour hungrily waiting for the table.

There are vintage photos of their restaurant.

The vintage signboard.

There was a lot of people queuing here getting their number.

One thing I noticed about Macau is that there are a lot of Koreans.

The menu outside. You can take your time to plan out first on the things you want to order.

After waiting for an hour, it was finally our turn to head into the restaurant.

A short of the restaurant.

My wife and I shared our table with a Korean couple. The Korean man made a lot of noises while he was eating his food.

A cup of coffee latte with ice. This is around MOP 32 or around Malaysian Ringgit Rm 18.

I am happy that they have a cup of cold coffee to drink eventhough the weather is cold. In Macau as well as Hong Kong, usually, you share a table with other diners.

They are famous wantons. The skin is fried till it gets super big.

A plate of fried noodles. This is one big dish. It is delicious, but it is enough for two people. I also ordered my own plate of rice not knowing that each plate was huge.

Are these good? The answer is that it depends.

They manage to make the whole thing melt into your mouth while maintaining its crispiness. You bite onto it till you slowly reach the middle section of this, where the fried wanton meat is located at.

I ordered a plate of pork chop with rice. This is what it looks like.

Overall, it is worth to try the food here since it started all the way in the 1930s.

Thank you very much for reading this post. The tour of Macau still continues. I had no idea how to get around here.

But somehow, I still made it to the destination.
