A walk in the park

Good morning, all my friends. How is your Saturday? One of my favourite things to do during my free time is just to head to the local park here in Miri and get some fresh air. At the same time, going for a short jog.

A contrast to what I face every day in life is the greenery. The lush green forest and plants. A breath of fresh air.

Piasau Garden Park

One of the best features about this park is that it is hidden. The trees here provide shade all over the whole area that it lets us feel cool while we walk or run around here. There are lots of senior citizens and some families who bring their kids here for some daily exercise.

It has just rained, so the floors are all wet. There is a puddle of water in the middle. Looking at the water, I see some tadpoles swimming in the pool of water. Birds are chirping in above in the trees above.

It is now the 1st day of November. 2026 is approaching.

The trees in this park somehow know how to behave and grow in straight lines. Whenever, I am here, I tend to wonder, how is it that all these trees grow so neatly.

The best thing about living in Sarawak is that it rains a lot, so the trees here usually get enough water and sunlight.

Around every single corner of Miri, you can see plants. Tall, small, and all sorts.

The ground is wet but after a while, all those water slowly flows into the ground and the miracle of life continues.

A nice walkway with trees on both sides. You feel like royalty walking along this path. Like some magic is going to happen.

I usually spend an hour jogging around this park.

The sun is slowly peeking from the horizon as it greets me good evening as it is heading home for the night.

There is also a playground area for the kids to play, but on this day, there are none. The rain has stopped them from coming. A lot of the young ones are always playing on the screen all the time, and at times, it is good to bring them here to get some fun. See the nature.
