A breath of fresh air at Kundasang
Let's visit Sabah's veggies basket. This is one of those towns in Sabah that has lots of fertile farmland. Nestled in the highlands of Sabah, is this small little town.
A market rooted in tradition
The town of the mountain people.
My parents and this cute huge lettuce in the middle of this town. This lettuce was slightly in despair during my last trip but it seems to have been repaired.
These shops that are located here are not modern but provide all the basic essentials that one needs to go through a day.
My mom is happy standing here with the lettuce. It's her second time visiting this wonderful town at an altitude of 2000 metres.
A vendor with her small little area selling slippers.
The fog usually gets thick in the afternoon.
Long long ago, these towns were built when the roads weren't that good yet.
Then, there is a Kentucky Fried Chicken
We were hunting for a restaurant but most of them were full so here were at a KFC. Eating fried chicken.
The service here is excellent but best of all, we were eating at a KFC that is 2000 metres above sea level.
One of the best things to do these days for me is to bring my parents to places whenever I get the chance.
After that, we went to a nearby market. There are so many different local snacks. The star is the exotic fruits that are sold here ranging from from fresh cabbages, carrots, and tomatoes to exotic fruits like tarap and durian.
Shopping here is the best. The cool temperature
Lots of fruits and veggies to choose from. Some of these fruits have already been sliced into thin slices and ready to be eaten.
My mom looked at the different types of fruits. I told her that one of the types of fruits to get here is definitely the Avocado cheese. Super duper was delicious. It has yellow flesh and tastes like sweet cheese. Quite creamy.
Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a wonderful day ahead.
If you visit Sabah someday, you can hire a car to drive up here and explore the whole area. There is plenty of stuff to do.

That location must be so great and lovely to visit! I could just picture how wonderful it would be to see the scenery and all the miracles that it has. I just wish I could go there one day and experience some great memories like you. It would be a wonderful chance to explore new locations and indulge in the serene environment.
What a beautiful post!Kundasang looks like a wonderful place to visit.I love the photos of your parents and the fresh produce. It's so refreshing to see a place with such a focus on nature and local life. The KFC at 2000 meters above sea level sounds like a unique experience!I'm definitely adding Kundasang to my travel list. 😊
Awwww. This post makes me miss visiting a local market. You can find anything at an affordable price, and you are sure enough that the produce is fresh. Nothing beats visiting a local market. It is also very convenient to hire a car to help you explore and, of course, carry all the stuff that you just bought. Enjoy and stay safe!
It may be small and old but there are a lot of things it offers. Markets such as these offer the most reasonable prices and fresh too! All the town's produce are here and people flock these locations for their fair market price. A wonderful day to you too from all the way in the Philippines!
