I joined hive blockchain during the week..and I want to drop a little write up which talks about my State Of Origin..
(Edo State Nigeria)..
The Heart Beat Of The Nation...
The Edo are known all over Nigeria as a home of rich cultural Values and tradition.. The Edo history is connected to the ancient Benin kingdom which dominated it's neighbouring Kingdom in the 12th century .. Presently, the Benin city is the state capital of Edo ruled by the OBA.who oversees the affairs of the kingdom as the leader.

In the 12th to 15th century, The Edo nation was one of the most powerful kingdom all over the world,in terms of trade, business, ideas, culture and the famous Benin wall known as the (Benin moat) in Edo translation (Edo iyanuwo) was a beauty to behold in the 12th to 15th century
The present day Edo was craved out from the then Bendel state...A combination of Delta state and Benin kingdom.. It shares boundaries with the following states in Nigeria...(Delta state,Ondo State, Anambra State and Kogi State). Agriculture is the Edo people main source of income and livelihoods

I can remember those days when we use to farm...smile..the good old days..when grand mum will take us all to the farm, every body with his machetes and hoe for tilling the soil to make ridges for planting of yams, cassava, tomato and other crops for either consumption purpose or commercial purpose.....Our working hours at the farm was from 7am till maybe 11am..we come back to the house. Rest a bit and go back in the evening let say 3pm till 7pm in the evening..It gave me good memories even now that I am a grown man.

As at today, Edo State has 18 local government areas with different languages, culture and traditions and these cultures and traditions are different from one place to another..Take for example the Esan man language is different from the Benin man language..Thank you In Esan language is "Obiluu" while Thank you in Benin is "Uwese"..
The Benin people address there king as The OBA... While the Esan address there leader as The Onijie...
Our dress are always different...
