9th February 2025/ Free writing prompt Day: 2642, Lost confidence
There was a time I believed I could do anything My mind was sharp, my dreams were vivid and my confidence felt unshakable But somewhere along the way I lost it Not all at once just bit by bit like sand slipping through my fingers.
One failure led to another and suddenly doubt became louder than my ambition. Losing confidence is like losing your reflection in a fogged up mirror You know you’re still there but you can’t see yourself clearly anymore, You start second guessing your abilities questioning whether you were ever truly capable in the first place It’s frustrating It’s lonely And worst of it all, it convinces you that maybe you’re not enough, But the truth is that confidence isn’t something we’re born with it’s something we build And just like a broken bridge can be repaired so can our belief in ourselves, I realized that confidence doesn’t come from never failing it comes from rising every time I do It’s about showing up even when I don’t feel ready It’s about speaking even when my voice shakes It’s about trying again, even when my last attempt fell apart, The world has a way of making us feel small but we don’t have to stay that way Confidence isn’t about having all the answers; it’s about trusting that we can figure them out, So if you’ve lost your confidence don’t panic. It’s still there waiting for you to reclaim it And when you do the world better be ready because nothing is more powerful than a person who has found their way back to themselves.
