The ZapFic50Monday is a literary initiative from the Freewriters Community in which writers have to create a story, using the prompt provided, with exactly 50 words: no more, no less!

The Bakery

Panic ensued at the bakery as the ovens went silent. The baker, wide-eyed, dialed 911. "Emergency!" he gasped.
Firefighters rushed, imagining a blazing inferno.
Instead, they found the baker sobbing next to the uncooked dough.
"What the emergency"? His oven's timer had simply broken down.
Doughnuts would have to wait...
