Hello everyone!

The Internet, long known as the realm of free content, is being slowly killed by the big corporations. The era of unhindered access to free information, books, movies and all kinds of resources is rapidly coming to an end. One of the most notable changes is the recent experience at Z-Library, a site that used to be a goldmine for avid readers and students in search of free literature.

In the past, one could easily access Z-Library and download almost any book in the world for free. However, Z-Lib has been removed from the open web for about an year or so and now, to access its collection, users are now faced with a significantly more complex process.

I had to read some old books that aren't available in my country, so I had to delve into Reddit to learn how to access Z-Lib nowadays. Apparently, we now have to generate an unique, personal link that has a lifespan of just 4 hours, and use that link to access Z-Library. After those 4 hours, the link is gone for good, and you need to create a new one.

I've followed this post on Reddit to learn how to do it (and I took the liberty to save the post on WayBackMachine as those kind of content have the bad habit of disappearing from the internet...)

Apparently, the web has been flooded with fake/scam versions of Z-Lib, preying on the unaware users. Currently, there's only one official link, in which you have to create an account to, then, generate your personal links.

After following the steps, I was able to (finally) access Z-Lib and, alas, the 3 books that I needed were there.

A Internet de antigamente era o reino do conteúdo gratuito; porém, ela está sendo morta, pouco a pouco, pelas grandes corporações. A era do acesso irrestrito à informações, livros, filmes e qualquer outro tipo de coisa gratuita está chegando ao fim rapidamente.

Acabei de ter uma experiência com a Z-Library que me mostrou esse final da "antiga internet". Se você não conhece, a Z-Library era uma biblioteca gratuita, um site que costumava ser uma mina de ouro infinita para leitores ávidos e estudantes/pesquisadores em busca de literatura gratuita.

No passado, era possível acessar facilmente a Z-Library e fazer download de quase todos os livros do mundo gratuitamente. No entanto, a Z-Lib foi removida da Web aberta há cerca de um ano e, agora, para acessar sua coleção, os usuários precisam fazer um processo significativamente mais complexo.

Eu precisava ler alguns livros antigos que, infelizmente, não estão disponíveis à venda aqui no Brasa, então tive que me aventurar no Reddit para descobrir como acessar a Z-Lib atualmente. Aparentemente, agora temos que gerar um "link pessoal e exclusivo" que duram apenas 4 horas, e você só consegue usar esse link para acessar a Z-Library. Após essas 4 horas, o link deixa de funcionar, e você precisa criar um novo.

Segui esse post aqui no Reddit para saber como fazer isso (e tomei a liberdade de salvar a página na WayBackMachine, pois esse tipo de conteúdo tem o péssimo hábito de desaparecer da Internet...)

Aparentemente, a internet foi inundada com versões fakes e golpes envolvendo a Z-Lib, que se aproveitam dos usuários desavisados para pedir doações e roubar crypto. Atualmente, há apenas um link oficial da Z-Lib, no qual é necessário criar uma conta para, então, gerar seus links pessoais.

Depois de seguir as etapas, consegui (finalmente) acessar a Z-Lib e, infelizmente, os três livros que eu precisava estavam lá.
