No entiendo cómo puede haber tanta maldad en un ser humano como para maltratar a un animalito. Lili es una bebé... de otra especie, pero bebé al fin y al cabo... ¿Cómo no les importó causarle dolor? Cuando un gatito, un perro, sin familia, anda suelto, busca cómo sobrevivir, no quiere hacer daño, solo busca algo que comer, un poco de agua y un lugar donde refugiarse y protegerse del sol, la lluvia, el frío... ¿Cómo es posible que haya gente que no entienda esto? Los animales tienen sensibilidad física, como nosotros, sienten dolor. Y tienen sus emociones, sufren de miedo, de soledad... La mirada de los perros y gatitos de la calle es fría, triste... muy diferente a la mirada aguda y vivaz de los perros y gatitos que tienen una familia que los ama y los respeta.

Creo que quienes tenemos mascotas también deberíamos apoyar a los pequeños criaturas que andan solos por la calle, ser, como dicen, "la voz de los que no tienen voz" y luchar por el respeto a sus derechos. Seguro que piensas igual que yo.

Lili —como la hemos llamado— se está recuperando poco a poco de la herida; la hernia no ha disminuido y estamos intentando ahorrar un poco para que, si en dos meses no desaparece, tengamos algo para operarla y aprovechar en la misma operación para esterilizarla.

¡Con Lili serían cinco! Los gatitos que tenemos en casa... cada uno ha llegado con sus propias circunstancias, cada uno tiene su propia historia y... bueno, ya que empecé a contarles la historia de Lili, pienso contarles también las historias de los otros cuatro: La Niña, El Negrito, Alfredo y Chimultrufio (hijo de la Niña y Alfredo).
