(ESP-ENG) 94th birthday of my grandmother Luisa

Saludos para todos mis hiveamig@s, un placer compartir con ustedes vivencias que se convierten en experiencias maravillosas. En esta oportunidad les hablo del cumpleaños de mi abuelita Luisa, precisamente me llamo Luisa en honor a ella por ser la primera nieta.

Greetings to all my hiveamig@s, a pleasure to share with you experiences that become wonderful experiences. In this opportunity I am talking about my grandmother Luisa's birthday, I call myself Luisa in honor of her for being the first granddaughter.

Con antelación, mi abuela había pedido celebración de su cumpleaños, nos decía que quería invitados con tarjetas, bailar y apagar velitas. Me reuní con mis tías y acordamos la celebración de nuestra "vieja tremenda" como le llamo. Es un honor para nosotros como familia poder compartir la celebración de nuestra vieja. Cumplió 94 años, bien disfrutado, gracias a Dios.

In advance, my grandmother had asked for a birthday celebration, she told us she wanted guests with cards, dancing and blowing out candles. I met with my aunts and we agreed to celebrate our “vieja tremenda” as I call her. It is an honor for us as a family to be able to share in the celebration of our old lady. She turned 94, well enjoyed, thank God.

Mi abuela Luisa estuvo casada con mi abuelo Lorenzo durante 47 años, se casaron cuando ella tenía 15 años y mi abuelo 25 años. Mi abuelo partió a otro plano terrenal hace 32 años, en ese entonces, mi abuela tenía 62 años, sumamente joven. En este momento que estoy escribiendo me doy cuenta de la juventud de mi abuela, con razón me dijo que "gracias a Dios que mi abuelo había muerto porque ella se había liberado". Entendí que se lo tomó de la mejor manera porque desde ese entonces ella salía para donde le parecía, comía lo que quería y nadie tenía que decirle nada.

My grandmother Luisa was married to my grandfather Lorenzo for 47 years, they married when she was 15 years old and my grandfather was 25 years old. My grandfather departed to another earthly plane 32 years ago, at that time, my grandmother was 62 years old, very young. At this moment that I am writing I realize how young my grandmother was, she rightly told me that “thank God that my grandfather had died because she had freed herself”. I understood that she took it in the best way because from then on she went out wherever she wanted, ate whatever she wanted and nobody had to tell her anything.

En realidad, mi abuela ganó vida después de la partida de mi abuelo. Tuvieron 6 hijos, 5 hembras y 1 varón. Mi mamá es la hija mayor, y por supuesto, tuvieron muchos nietos, somos una familia bastante grande.

Actually, my grandmother gained life after my grandfather's departure. They had 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. My mom is the oldest daughter, and of course, they had many grandchildren, we are a pretty big family.

Tomando en cuenta la situación económica que afecta a nuestro hermoso país, realizamos una lista con los requerimientos que necesitábamos para tal celebración y cada familiar que quería participar, escogía con lo que colaboraría, cómo decimos, "una fiesta de Pon Pon".

Taking into account the economic situation that affects our beautiful country, we made a list with the requirements we needed for such a celebration and each family member who wanted to participate, chose what they would collaborate with, as we say, “a Pon Pon Pon party”.

Llegado el día de la celebración, sábado 18 de enero, a la hora del mediodía empezó la celebración recibiendo a cada invitado con un plato de arroz con pollo, que quedó muy bueno. Preparado por la tía Armenia, la quinta hija de la abuela Luisa, típico de mi pueblo Viboral y si no tienes hambre, igual tienes que comer el arroz con pollo.

Arrived the day of the celebration, Saturday, January 18, at noon the celebration began receiving each guest with a plate of rice with chicken, which was very good. Prepared by Aunt Armenia, the fifth daughter of Grandma Luisa, typical of my town Viboral and if you are not hungry, you still have to eat the rice with chicken.

Con el aporte de todos reunimos además varios pasapalos, tortas, refrescos y bebidas espirituosas. Mi abuela Luisa se cambió 4 veces porque no quería salir en todas las fotos con la misma ropa. Definitivamente, muy coqueta. Solo repitió en las fotos la corona y la banda de cumpleañera.

With everyone's contribution we also gathered several snacks, cakes, soft drinks and spirits. My grandmother Luisa changed 4 times because she didn't want to be in all the pictures with the same clothes. Definitely, very flirtatious. She only repeated in the photos the crown and the birthday sash.

En una de las fotos estoy con mi mamá Lucila y mi abuela Luisa, allí representamos la primera, segunda y tercera generación, todavía no tengo nietos por lo que mi abuela no tiene tataranietos.

In one of the pictures I am with my mother Lucila and my grandmother Luisa, there we represent the first, second and third generation, I still don't have grandchildren so my grandmother has no great-great-grandchildren.

Cómo eran dos tortas, cantamos cumpleaños dos veces y por supuesto, cambios de ropa, jajaja. Lo importante es que nuestra vieja lo disfrutó desde cantarle hasta bailar también.

Since there were two cakes, we sang birthdays twice and of course, we changed clothes, hahaha. The important thing is that our old lady enjoyed it from singing to dancing too.

Fue tanto lo que disfrutó y se agitó mi abuela, que cuando nos dimos cuenta estaba durmiéndose en la silla a la que ella llama "burra" porque es la que la carga, jajaja. Sinceramente, agradecida con Dios y nuestro señor Jesucristo por permitirnos celebrar y compartir en familia el cumpleaños de mi abuela Luisa.

It was so much fun and excitement for my grandmother, that when we realized it, she was falling asleep in the chair she calls “burra” (donkey) because she is the one who carries her, hahaha. Sincerely grateful to God and our Lord Jesus Christ for allowing us to celebrate and share my grandmother Luisa's birthday as a family.
