Street Scenes On A Rainy Morning.

Warmest greetings friends, how do you do? How's the weather in your region today?

Here in my city, Aba, a gloomy sky signalled the arrival of Tuesday, followed by heavy rain, and with it, a cold weather. Not my favorite, though. 😒I've already caught the flu and the cold weather isn't helping.

You know, rainy mornings can be cozy. Perfect excuse to stay indoors, nestled under the comfy duvet, or with a warm drink. 😂 But how could you when the bills are staring at your face to sort them out? The rain wouldn't do that for you. Lol.

Luckily, I made it to the office, slightly drenched - as if I have a choice.

From my office window, along Azikiwe Road, I watched as the downpour drenched the streets, causing some people to seek refuge under shades, in-wait for the rain to subside, while others braved the elements, determined to make a living.

Neither rain nor shine can dampen the spirits of the hustlers.

As I watched the rain-soaked streets come alive,
the gloomy sky above nudged me to capture the moment. And so, I did, in monochrome. I've actually developed interest in black and white photography these days. Monochrome photos are beautiful, timeless and I love the old school vibes they portray. Lol. I'm @tengolotodo can confirm this.

I had to zoom in to capture this one - a local food vendor, specialized in roasted treats - yams, plantains, potatoes etc, and served with palm oil sauce. She's still setting up for the day and I usually patronize her whenever I feel like enjoying these treats.

A wheelbarrow pusher and refuse collector.

I hope you'll like the photos showcasing the resilient people, the drenched streets on this Tuesday morning, 30th September, which of course is the last day of the month.

It was really heavy but thank goodness it finally stopped because if you're not determined you can't go out under such rain have a good day at work

Yeah, it was a heavy one today. Even the sun that came up afterwards was high too.
Hope your day went well?

That roasted yam and plantain vendor detail hit me hard, because on gloomy days that’s defintely the kind of fuel that keeps work moving :)
Your right about hustlers and seeing people push through rain just to earn their daily shows why respect and fair pay matter.
Month end close dont care about the weather, but your monochrome vibe made the grind feel a bit poetic.

Bills have to be taken care of so one gat to hustle.

It is not raining here in Lagos though the weather was gloomy.

Your photos are lovely

Thank you. With all the beaches, lagoons and water in Lagos, I wonder why it doesn't rain as much as it does here.
