Hello! welcome to my blog.

I've always mentioned that images captured in black and white are always a sight to behold, and that's why I'm particular about them. They not only captivate, but also leaves you wanting to take more snapshots.

You know there are places that each time you pass through there, you'd always have a different view or perspective about it. It's not like something changed about the place, but because of what the environment portray.

One of such sights is Obikabia junction, a popular and vibrant location here in my city, Aba. At the center of the junction lies this landmark, a water fountain with the towering sculpture of Sir Ururuka (of blessed memory). It was noted that he pioneered the construction of the road during his administration decades ago.

I've actually shared glimpses of this location before, but as I passed by it a couple of days ago, I saw that even in its vibrancy, chaos of the everyday, stillness lies within. Spurred by this realisation, I wanted nothing more than to capture the fountain again to portray the idea. And what better hue can capture the essence of this idea other than in black and white.

As if frozen, the water fountain's gentle dance is paused, and the Ururuka sculpture stands tall, as if surveying the scene while the traffic warden stands on guard. Lol.

In black and white, the hustling and bustling, the chaos at the junction is reduced to serene stillness - frozen in time.

The scene in these images remind us of the need to slow down, to pause and take a moment to appreciate the beauty in the everyday.

Thanks for being here.

Yes, Aba is looking good now.
That's nice, Uyo is another beautiful place with nice locations. It's been some years since I visited.
That's cool, I'll look forward to it.

Beautiful view at this location
I was surprised to see the agent of the security service standing up in front of the fountain.
What was he doing?
