Shot On The Roof - PhotoFeed Contest Black And White Photography 154

My compound is what you'd call a rendezvous spot for birds, squirrels and other creatures. Lol. These creatures, especially the birds, would often come around to forage and roam. More often than not, they show up when they sense the environment is quiet, and that's when I usually spot them.

So coming back home from work one day, I spotted some pigeons having a little feast, hopping around and pecking at the ground, seemingly unaware of my presence.

"Time for a good shot", I said, reaching into my bag to grab my phone, but before I could get even a single shot, they swiftly took to the skies, landing on the roofs of the buildings - one at our house, the other ones at the building beside ours.

So sorry, I bumped into your Guess my presence startled hehehe.

"Hey pigeons, flying up to the roof wouldn't dissuade me from snapping you guys, you know", I said, chuckling. "And I think doing so in monochrome would be perfect", I added. And that's how I snapped a few shots of the birds perched on the roof. It wasn't easy though, especially with the other building because it's a 2-storey building.

I actually had to zoom in to be able to get some good shots and here's how they turned out.
