Hello all. It's a delight to have you visit my blog again. Hope you're doing great. It's gonna be just okay, keep hope alive.

It's a beautiful Wednesday, another day to share our #wednesdaywalk stories, pictures and all that. By the way, this is an initiative by @tatoojay. Big ups to him.

Sometime last week, I visited my bank, UBA Plc located along Asa Road, Aba for a debit card renewal. After finishing, I stepped outside into the beautiful day. The vibrant and colorful street scenes beckoned on me for a walk and I couldn't resist it. The weather was warm and favorable, just what I needed after being indoors for long. In fact, it was a welcome respite from the chill of the air-conditioned bank. Lol.

Phone in hand, I took a leisurely stroll along Asa Road down to St Michael's Road, capturing interesting sights and scenes on camera, which I'd love to share with you.

Asa Road, Aba, Nigeria, is a bustling commercial nerve center with a wide range of businesses and activities. You'll find office complexes, auto machine shops, lighting stores, and various other businesses along this busy express road.

As an expressway, it links several key roads such as Hospital Road, Pound Road, St. Michaels Road, stretching down to Aba commercial Park.

Then from Azikiwe Road to Market Road, Ehi Road, Ekeoha Shopping Center, way down Cemetery market. This strategic location makes it a hub of economic activity in the city.

One interesting thing about Asa Road is that it boasts of roadside trading. You'd find these street traders scattered across popular spots, like Asa Road, adding color and making the atmosphere lively. These street traders are nothing short of life savers too.

Take a look at this comfy anti - mosquito treated net, perfect for home use or on the go.

And we have a sugarcane vendor. The sight of the fresh sugarcanes was a delight, a perfect refresher after my walk. I bought one which I snacked on after I got back to the office.
Have you eaten sugarcanes before? I'd love to know.

Another street vendor sighted. This time, a local food vendor, specialized roasted treats - plantains, yams, and potatoes, often served with roasted ice fish and palm oil sauce, garnished with utazi leaves. Tasty and yummy.

Another shot - a vulcanizer and a snack vendor. A smart business idea. One can have a snack while waiting for the vulcanizer to fix their tyres and other stuffs.

As I strolled further, I noticed this artwork. At first, I didn't know what to make of it, whether it's a goat or what. 😂 Whatever it is, I had to capture it - front view.

Taking the second shot - side view, I then realized that it's actually a horse. Damn! The sculptor should be arrested for this. What the heck in a horse is this? 🤣

Some nice footwears on display. I stopped by to window shop - rather street shop.

Lol. See how beautiful this one looks.

Approaching St Michael's Road, I caught sight of this vendor selling phone accessories. He had everything from phone cases, batteries, chargers, to power banks, and USB cables and Bluetooth devices.

As I got closer, he asked me to take a look and see if I'd find something I might like to buy. He even showed me beautiful phone cases, suggesting one that would fit my device perfectly. Did I pick it? Nope.

And here's the popular GSM Market, St. Michaels Road.

It was an interesting and refreshing walk, and I enjoyed every step taken.
