Presented With Devotion!
During Mass on Sunday, the Holy Childhood Association of my Parish, St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, Aba, presented a captivating and interesting Christian drama portraying the presentation of Baby Jesus Christ in the temple. This biblical event, as recorded in Luke 2:22-40, was brought to life through the talented performance of these children.
As recorded in the Scripture in Luke 2:22-24, Mary and Joseph took Baby Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord. There, a devout and righteous man named Simeon, received the child and blessed Him with these words;
Now, Lord, you have kept your promise, and you may let your servant go in peace. With my own eyes, I have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the presence of all peoples: A light to reveal you to the nations and bring glory to your people Israel.
Luke 2:29-32 from The New International Version (NIV)
As the drama unfolded, the entire congregation couldn't help but marvel at the outstanding performance of the Holy Childhood Association children, who masterfully reenacted this sacred event in Christian history. As the drama ended, they were greeted with a resounding applause, followed by a generous donations from the congregation, who were deeply moved by the children's heartfelt acting.
In a show of gratitude for the congregation's support, the association shared beautiful stickers, and equally distributed baby powder to everyone to rub, adding a touching cultural element to the occasion.
The presentation of Baby Jesus in the temple, as depicted by the Holy Childhood Association, was a heartwarming reminder of the significance of faith and devotion. I'm grateful to have witnessed this inspiring drama.
I hope you'll enjoy watching the video.
