On Leave But Still On The Go!

After almost taking yesterday off thinking my leave had started and the events that followed which I shared in this post, it officially began today. Taa daa! πŸ’ƒ I meant to chill, lazy around the house, indulge in some tasty treats, you know as per holiday vibes, but did I? Nah! I ended up having a heck of a busy day. You can say it turned out to be a whirlwind.

Recall I mentioned that my sister's silver jubilee celebration is around the corner and I've been doing some market runs, so today I went shopping for a footwear. And I didn't go alone, my niece who came in from school yesterday accompanied me - you know what that means, lol.

Our destination point was the popular Ariaria International Market and we turned it upside down, hitting So Safe Plaza, Enyimba Plaza, Powerline and Ekumi Plaza like we were on a mission. Of course we were actually on a mission and we went, we saw and we conquered. Hahaha!

We sampled footwears till our feet were sore - literally. We first went to So Safe plaza and girl, footwears are now a hit. The price of a pair full lover or pointed toe slingback heel with embellishments is between ₦25,000 ₦30,000, while slip-on sandal with embellishments went for ₦18,000 and above depending on the designs.

Looking at my budget, I was like, prices, please be nice." But the heck they were! πŸ˜€ So I had to keep checking the tags, and my wallet was like, "Nope Luchyl, not today!" But I didn't give up, and guess what? I found not one, but two pairs that fit my budget.

Wait, that's three! I also got one for my niece too - a beautiful flat-slip on footwear. Guess you could say I scored big time!

After picking out the footwears, we headed to Ekumi Plaza so I could get some essentials - bought beauty care products, hair extension and jewelries.

My beauties.πŸ˜‚

For my nieces.

I even spotted a hair care company on a promotional campaign.

Recall I mentioned I was off work but guess what, it was a sham! I was still responding to client calls, chats, and attending to work stuff while we were shopping. Damnit. Lol. My niece surprisingly asked, "Aunty, you're on leave, why are you still working?" "Girl, some of us don't truly rest, even on leave." I replied. She was like, "But why? I told her "The hustle is real. Just wait till you're older, you'll understand the struggles of adulting". We laughed it off.

It was kinda merry-go-round sort of shopping day, fun and exciting too. My niece was able to experience first hand, the hustling and bustling life at Ariaria Int'l market. At a point she was like "Aunty, people are really hustling o."

I was glad every item on my list was checked. Surprisingly, I didn't indulge in impulse purchase today. Hahaha. Well, not that I do it often, though. Haha. By the end, we were beat and craving a warm shower, nice meal and our bed.

Thank you for being here.

Nice merry go round.
Shoes are expensive because of the season. If you had go to the before this ember month it would have been less.
Your choice are fine.

Even when rest doesn’t go as planned, you still found joy in the little things the laughter, the bonding and the blessings of being productive. Life reminds us that even in our busyness, there’s beauty and purpose. Best regards

Going to the market when you are on leave helps you to take enough time to select your items, colours, size, and above all bargain well for the best price. Above I love the Royal blue colour

I laughed at the part where you explained to your niece about being an adult and professional responsibilities... I'm so glad you were able to make the most of the trip and that her needs were met! Congratulations! Hugs!

There's need to let the young ones know that being an adult comes with responsibilities so they can begin to prepare themselves for the time they'll become one. πŸ˜…
Thanks for coming around and sharing your thoughts.

You had fun shopping with your neice. Thank God the leave came in at the right time. The market is buzzling, and people are hustling, which is necessary for their survival.

You got nice stuffs but I like the first pointed heels and the red slippers heel you got. I'm sure your neice is also happy you got her something. I love accompanying my aunt to the market as well because I know I would get something free in the end. πŸ˜†πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜ƒ
