My Valentine Arrived Early // CNF

Three days ago, my Chef cousin, who's learning how to edit pictures with an AI app, sent me a photo where I was wearing a red dinner gown, all made up with a beautiful hair, and looking absolutely elegant.

The photo.

I didn't even recognize myself in the edited picture at first, the only thing familiar was my pose! And then I was like "waoh!, is that me?" Looking all elegant and dashing. Lol. "What a crazy edit!" I told her.

With Valentine just around the corner, I decided to post it on Facebook. Probably, you've seen this trend on social media about flower bouquets and money bouquets, so I posted the picture with a hint that I'd love someone to surprise me with a money bouquet! At least, for once - so I can experience it too.

Minutes later, notifications started trickling in -- likes, comments about my gorgeous looks and all. I got loads of love. Well, that's to be expected, considering the picture is absolutely stunning, kinda la hot vibes. I'm sure you'd agree with me. Lol.

However, a comment stood out. It read: "If you are the type that gives surprises, you would certainly get surprises too." Told him that giving surprises is in my DNA, and we laughed over it.

Now here's where the story gets sweeter. Hehehe.

A long-time older friend from my former church in Onne, Rivers State commented "chat me up on WhatsApp". She was one of my Mamas in church back then, so fond of me. However, life happened and we missed contact for years now. So I was happy to read from her.

Unfortunately, I no longer had her number, but luckily my elder sister does, so she sent it to me. Immediately, I messaged her, and that began the journey of my good news!

After catching up, she asked how I was preparing for Valentine, hinting on my beautiful outfit on Facebook. I smiled and told her that it was just a photo and that I've got no plans for that day yet. We continue with our chats, and at the end, she asked for my account details to send me something for valentine. I sent it immediately, while beaming with excitement. In fact, I started making a happy dance in anticipation for the credit alert.

Seconds later, a message popped up, and there it was - a credit alert of a good sum of money!

"Wo wo wo!", I screamed like crazy, jumping up in excitement. I was ecstatic! Couldn't believe my eyes! I really got a money bouquet for valentine - literally. I was filled with gratitude and expressed it wholeheartedly, told her she made my night and valentine too, and even sent her a video clip of my dance. She, at the other end was just laughing at my display of emotions.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to go down like this. Just posted the picture for fun, threw out a joke about the money bouquet... didn't give it much thought. But fate had better plans for me, and that guy's words - "If you are the type that gives surprises, you would certainly get surprises too", confirmed it. He was right after all.

Footnote: I can't wait to receive more surprises before Valentine's day, so please start sending yours.😂
