Loud Voiced But Yet Wonderful!

There's this particular phrase which I guess most of us have used at some point in our lives, and it's none other than

"I know myself... "

I can imagine you saying it out right now, hehehe.

An individual who says "I know myself“ shows that the person has a level of self-awareness and understanding of their own thoughts, feelings, behavior, character traits, capabilities, strength and weaknesses including physical features. But do you know that there are still some other things which the person may not know about themselves, and it is only when someone else draws their attention to it that they will know.

I know myself to be loud voiced with a touch of commanding tone to it. It resonates when I talk. You know there's a way people view those who talk that way, as if they are domineering, authoritative and all what nots. Of a truth, I'm not really cool with it and I wish I didn't have such. Sometimes, I try to control it but you know, there are some inherent trait that are usually stubborn. They will always bring your short short legs out no matter how you try to control them, hehehe.

I've actually come to accept that about myself and life goes on. So hearing someone, in fact some people say that I have a "good, beautiful and wonderful voice" was not only surprising but too shocking. How can that be?, lol.

The first time someone actually told me that was at a trade fair. I had visited one of the company's stand to carry out my "ministerial work" - marketing, so they can advertise their business at the radio station where I work. After my discussion with the manager, which was favorable though, he threw this question at me;

"Is it only marketing that you do or you also present?" I told him that it was only marketing to which he replied;

"But why?, you have a good voice and can do very well as a presenter!"

In my mind I was like, "Uncle you say?, please stop the joke already", lol.

I guess he read my mind because he said that he was actually saying the obvious, that my voice is beautiful and I have all it takes to be one, even his colleague agreed with him. Well I thanked them and excused myself to continue with my marketing before someone go carry me go where I no know 🤣.

Another one was a prospect I had called to also advertise his business. The discussion went well and we struck a deal. So when I logged in to WhatsApp later on that day to check messages, I saw a message from an unsaved number, I ran a check and found out it was from him. I replied and you can see our conversation right in the image below.

This other one was an unknown caller whose call I guess was a call divert, no thanks to the network service provider. When the call came in, I picked expecting it to be someone who knows me but she called a name entirely different from mine. It was then I knew that it was the handiwork of these service providers. I told her that she might have wrongly keyed in the number she wanted to call or that the number diverted, so she should check the number again. She thanked me and dropped the call. The next minute she sent me this message you're seeing on the image below;

This message really touched me. In fact I was emotional. Here I was worrying my pretty little self that I have a loud voice wasn't cool, without knowing that others had a different perspective about it. To them it was all you can call wonderful and that it also has the power to brighten up someone's day.
I now rock my voice with pride and no longer let it worry me. "Na loud voice I get, I no kee person", lol
