A Rare Specie Of Mushroom I Found On My Walk!
Warmest regards, welcome to my blog.
It's another day to talk about this beautiful gift of nature - mushrooms, sounds so mushy, lol.
As we know, there are thousand species of mushrooms that can be found growing around the world over - in the field, woods, farmlands, dead tree stumps, and even in your flower pot or at the garden right there at your backyard. Being a fungus, mushrooms can grow just anywhere that there is moist. They are widely known for their nutritional and medicinal values and that's why some of them are great recipe in the culinary world. But take heed, not all of them are edible. A quite number of mushrooms are not eaten because they have awful smell, contain poisonous properties which are prone to cause harm to the body.
I like mushrooms a lot, I guess you do, too. They add color and taste to our dishes. In fact you can't go wrong with having mushrooms in your dishes, they're the life of the dish, lol.
I'm always on the lookout for mushrooms whenever I go on a walk, visit the farm or anywhere I envision they might thrive. If they're edible, I'll forage them, but if not, I stay away. The least I can do is take snapshots of them just like this one I have here.
You see the type of wood they're growing on, an old and moist plank wood or wooden board.
I couldn't pin a name to it because it it's kinda a rare specie here. I can't say if it's edible or not too. I did some searches to see if I could get a lead to it's name, but sadly, didn't get any. But a look at it, one would think that it's a " white hibiscus" or a "white hohenbuehelia petaloides" due to its features. See how beautiful and alluring it looks. You can't see it and not take a second or maybe a third look, lol.
As you know, mushrooms left in the woods for days usually undergo natural decay process arising from the temperature of the environment, humidity, oxygen, contamination (by pests) and the type of specie too. They decompose into nutrient-rich organic matter.
See how it look here.
That's all I've got to show you today. I hope you like them. I'd really love to know the name of this mushroom so if you have an idea, please do share and enlighten us. I'd be much gladdend. Thank you.

Indeed food cooked with mushrooms are simply irresistible. The only problem is knowing the ones that are edible and the ones that are not edible 😎
Surely they are, and nutritious too.
You're right, it's usually not easy identifying which is which, but I've been lucky to know some of the edible ones we have around here. And they're sold in the markets and malls too.
Nice 👍
