Social Media Challenge | Why some of the ruleset are dangerous! π

Overview
Today I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I will try to use one of my best combo in this game, because taking advantage of the Bloodlust ability is always the best way to go. π
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Explosive Weaponry | All Monsters have the Blast ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 49, which is not that much, but it is more than enough to use few key monsters in this battle. Their will be only one ruleset other than the mana cap and that will be the Explosive Weaponry, which will give the Blast ability to all the monsters on the battlefield. π
The Blast ability is a very dangerous one, because it will allow all the monsters on the battlefield to deal indirect damage to the adjacent monsters of their target, so none of the monsters will be safe on the battlefield. π
It is easy to take advantage of this ruleset, because it is better to use monsters with the Sneak, Snipe or even the Opportunity ability to deal damage somewhere in the middle of the enemy lineup to get as much as damage possible. It will be very important how to position the monsters in either lineups to be able to gain advantage of this ruleset. π€

My lineup
![]() | Lobb Lowland is an amazing Summoner, because he has the ability to bring an additional Gladiator monster into the battle and many times I take advantage of that. He is also be able to decrease the Speed of his enemy monsters by one. This feature of him will allows me to use a pretty strong Gladiator monster, who is able to kill the enemy monsters easily with her double attacks. π |
| The Pelacor Mercenary is an excellent all around tank, because he has nice amount of Speed and Melee attack damage combined with good amount of Health. He also has the ability to Heal himself, which will give him extra time to sustain more damage in every round. Sadly he has a small weakness not having any defensive abilities to protect himself against his enemies, so he doesn't really like focus damage. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Fungus Flinger is a very special one, because apart from his weak stats she is quite powerful. Not because she will kill anyone with her one Ranged attack damage, but because she has the Martyr ability, which will allow her to increase the stats of his adjacent monsters, but only if she dies. π |
| Katrelba Gobson will be my key monster for this battle, because if my opponent is not using a tank at the end of their lineup Katrelba will be able to hit them hard. She has the Double Strike ability, so she will be able to attack twice against the last monster from the enemy team. Her most important ability, which will make her truly powerful is the Bloodlust, which means if she manages to kill her target she will increase her own stat by one for the rest of the battle. π | ![]() |
![]() | Thane Newsong is a non-attack monster, which is perfect to use him as a Weapon Trainee for my Ava, so he would get her Ranged attack. On its own he has quite a lot of Health and the ability to increase the Melee attacks to my monsters by one using his Inspire ability. He also has the Fortify ability, which will provide an extra Health as well to everyone in his team as long as he is alive. π |
| Ava the Undaunted cost quite a lot of mana, but her powers are truly powerful. She has +3 Ranged attack damage, which is good on its own, but what makes her amazing is her Weapons Training ability, which means that she will be able to give her attack (maximum three) to the non-attack monsters adjacent to her. She also has the Shatter ability, so whenever she hit her target she will remove all of their armor at once. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Clockwork Aide doesn't have any attack on its own, so he will be a perfect candidate for the Weapons Training ability from Ava. He has only one Health, but with a lots of Armor, so he is quite good to sustain quite a lot of Ranged or Melee attacks. He also has the Rust ability to further remove the enemy Armors by two and also the Swiftness ability, which will increase the Speed of all of his friendly monsters by one. π |

The Battle

My opponent brought the Possibilus the Wise who is a Water Summoner and one of the best from there, because he gives +2 Health to all of his monsters, which is always nice, but more importantly he will give the Reach ability as well, which means that the monster from the second position would be able to attack from there. He also gives the Trample ability to his monsters, so whenever a Melee attack monster kills its target they will get a Free attack on the monster next to them. π
In the first round our teams started hitting each other quite harshly, but luckily my Katrelba managed to kill their Swamp Spitter just before the first round finished, which allowed her to activate her Bloodlust ability, so she got her stats increased by one permanently. None of the other monsters died this round and our tanks stood pretty solid in our first positions. π€
The second round started perfectly, because my Katrelba got quicker and such she managed to kill their Deeplurker as well, which further increased all of her stats and made her even more powerful. Still in the same round their Kulu used his Opportunity ability and killed the lowest Health monster from my team, which was perfect, because he killed my Fungus Flinger who instantly activated his Martyr ability, which boosted up my Katrelba and Pelacor Mercenary even further.
I was very lucky, because their Kulu got a free attack from his Trample ability, which allowed him to attack my Katrelba and she just barely managed to survive this attack with only one Health. π
Just before the second round finished their Baakjira attacked my Mercenary and unfortunataly his Blast damage went through to my Katrelba and even that one damage was enough for her to die.
In the third round their Kulu used his Opportunity ability to attack and kill my Clockwork Aide and his Blast damage almost killed my Ava as well. π
The fourth round started by killing their Slade, so finally their main tank died and the indirect damage from the Blast ability killed their low Health Baakjira.
The Heal ability on my Pelacor Mercenary helped quite a lot to sustain a lot of damage, so at the end game he was still full Health and easily finsihed off their last two monsters, which allowed me to win this battle. π

Battle Result

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to utilise the Blast ability on my monsters and to deal as much as damage possible. I also used a monster with the Martyr ability to support my monsters, which almost perfectly worked as I expected. π
