Overview

Today I brought a Ranked battle, where it is important to keep the only one ruleset in mind, because the one we got is quite strong and it is easy to forget about it and lost our teams easily. 😏

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Noxious FumesAll units start the battle Poisoned.

The mana cap for my next battle was 25, which is not much at all and it will be very difficult to setup a team especially with the only ruleset we got, which is the Noxious Fumes.

This ruleset means that all the monsters will be Poisoned, which means that all the monsters will take two damage at the end of every round. 😉

My lineup

image.png
Kelya Frendul is a Water Summoner and he cost only four mana, which is nice. In return he gives +1 Armor and Speed too all of his friendly monsters. 😊
The Djinn Oshannus is an excellent tank and damage dealer, because he has a lot of health and speed to protect himself against the enemy attacks. He has +2 magic attack, which is always good, but right now the most important thing is to survive the Poison damage. 😆

The Venari Marksrat is always a nice addition to any team, because he cost only three mana and has +1 ranged attack. The most important feature of him is his Martyr ability, which means that he will increase the stats of his nearby monsters if he dies. The Poison will help him to do that rather quickly! 😁
The Musa Saline also cost three mana, so it is easy to use her. She is a magic attack monster and because she is cheap she has only one magic attack damaage, but at least she is able to ignore the enemy armors. She also has the Scavenger ability, so whenever a monster dies on the battlefield she will increase her own stats by one. 😉

The River Nymph cost four mana, which is a bit more expensive, but she has one very important ability, which is the Cleanse. This ability means that she will be able to remove all the magic debuffs from his friendly monster in the first position effectively removing the Poison from my Oshannus. 😎
The Merdaali Guardian is my main suppoert monster for this battle, because she has the Tank Heal ability, which means that she will restore some of the health of my Djinn Oshannus or whoever is front of her. She doesn't have any attack, but her help is very important to outsustain the enemy damage and Poison. 🤗

The Torrent Spawn cost zero mana, so it is very easy to use him. He doesn't have any ability, but at least he is able to attack one melee attack in case he fell into the first position. He would by my backline protector if my opponent decides to bring Sneak attack monsters. 😜

My opponent brought Skargore who is a Fire Summoner who cost four mana just like my Kelya and her power is to give the Enrage ability to all of his friendly monsters. This ability works perfectly if a monster has huge health, because if they will be damaged they will increase their own melee attack and speed by fifty percent. 😅

My team was quicker than the enemy team, so they attacked first and we quickly killed their Radiated Scorcher. We almost killed their Marksrat as well, but no more death happened in the first round. My River Nymph used her Cleanse to remove the Poison from our tank.

In the beginning of the second round all the monsters who got the Poison got two damage, which killed three monsters easily and damaged the rest quite a lot. 😮

Their Forgotten One became very very strong and luckily when he attacked my tank he was able to block that attack thanks to the armor provided from Kelya.

At the beginning of the third round the Posion hit our teams and killed three of our monsters again. 😅

Sadly their tank was way to powerful now to be able to block his attack and killed my Oshannus easily.

The only good thing was the fact that my Musa Saline was still alive thanks to his Scavenger ability and he had exactly two attack damage, which killed their Forgotten One.

Their Lava Spider fell into the first position where he couldn't attack anymore, but he didn't get the chance anyway, because he died against the Poison damage in the next round, which allowed me to win this battle. 🤗

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to Cleanse the Poison from my Oshannus, which worked as I expected, but I didn't expect that the enemy yForgotten One will became so strong that he will be able to kill our tank.

Luckily the Scavenger ability saved my day and was able to outsustain and kill even their Forgotten One as well. 💪
