Overview

Today I brought a Ranked battle, where the rulesets will rule the whole battlefield and it is crucial to understand them in order to come out victorious. 😁

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Lost MagicMonsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.
Healed OutAll healing abilities are removed from Monsters and Summoners.
Noxious FumesAll Monsters start the battle Poisoned.

The mana cap for my next battle was 36, which is not that much, but it is important to take it into consideration that all the monsters will die quick due to the fact that the Noxious Fumes ruleset will Poison all the monsters on the battlefield, so they wil ltake two damage at the end of every round unless they have the Immunity or Rebirth ability. 😊

The Healed Out ruleset will also remove the Heal capabilities on all the monsters on the battlefield, so it is quite pointless to use them to save the monsters with Heal.

The Lost Magic ruleset will eliminate the use of all the magic attack monsters from the battlefield, which will shrink the available monster pool quite a bit. 😇

My lineup

image.png
Octavia Shadowmeld is a special Death Summoner, because she will decrease the health to all of her enemies by one, but most importantly she is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is pretty insane. 😊
The Hlafling Refugee cost only one mana and compared to his mana cost his stats are very good, so he is an easy use of a monster, but he has a weaknes, because his Weary ability will make him to skip his turn if it triggers and the trigger rate will increase by 10% by every round. Luckily he wouldn't live that long and that is why he is such a perfect budget monster for this battle. 😉

The Cursed Windeku is an amzing tank within the Death Splinter especially in a low mana battle, because he cost only 6 mana and has quite a lot of health. He also has the Thorns ability, so he will be able to reflect two damage back to any melee attack monster who dare to target him. 😌
The Venari Marksrat is an excellent monster for the Noxious Fumes ruleset, because the Poison will kill him quick, which will made him to activate his Martyr ability. This ability means if he dies he will increase all the stats of the monsters next to him by one. 🤗

Usually I use the Harklaw as my tank, becaus he is pretty strong, but in this battle I had to take advantage of one of his other ability, which is the Immunity. This ability means that he is completely unaffected by any negativ effect such as the Poison, so while everyone around him will die against the Poison he will take no damage at all. 💪
Liza Fox is a Gladiator monster and such she has the Bloodlust ability, so whenever she manages to kill her target she will increase all of her stats by one. She also has huge amount of ranged attack damage, which comes very handy to be able to kill her target. 😆

The Ravenhood Warden is a ranged attack monster and I had to bring him with a very good reason! He has +2 ranged attack damage with two very powerful ability. The first is his Protect and the second is his Inspire abilitiy. This is just too good to miss out, because he will give +2 armor and +1 melee attack to his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. 😁

My opponent brought Franz Ruffmane who is an Life Summoner and his ability is to give +1 armor to his monsters, which means that they will be able to block one melee or ranged attack completely. His second ability is the fact that he is able to use a Gladiator monster in this battle, which has the Bloodlust ability. 😉

In the first round both of us lost their budget tanks and more importantly our teams were trying to survive the Poison, which will come at the end of every round.

In the second round none of the monster died and I had to call the Poison to help me out and finishing off two of their monsters, because they had only two health left, but I also lost my Marksrat as well, which was intended, so he was able to boost up our Harklaw and Windeku. The Poison killed my Warden as wel, so both of our team were thre vs three. 😇

In the third round I almost lost my Windeku ,but luckily he was able to attack back to their Barbarian and killed him. Sadly the Poison killed my Windekuas well, but at least my opponent lost all of their damage, because their last ranged damage dealer fell into to the first position and was unable to attack from there.

Luckily my Harklaw had two melee attack damage, so he was able to kill the leftover monsters from the enemy team and won the battle for me. 🤗

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to utilise the Immunity ability on my Harklaw and try to sustain the incoming damages long enough until the enemy monsters and mines will die against the Poison damage and only my Harklaw will stand on the battlefield. 😇
