Social Media Challenge | Why Quora is the best of the best?
Overview
Today I brought an interesting Brawl battle, which will try to showcase how to fight against the strongest Splinter in the game, which is the Dragons.
The new design overhaul looks good, but I still need to get used to it! 😇
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Born Again | All Units will have the Rebirth ability. |
Tis but Scratches | All Units will have the Cripple ability. |
What Doesn't Kill You | All Units will have the Enrage ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 52, which is more than enough for my liking, because I will be able to setup a team that it is possible to defeat my opponent.
The Born Again ruleset is an interesting one, because it allows all the monsters on the battlefield to get back to life with one health, which enables me and my opponent to use strange strategies. 😁
The Tis but Scarches ruleset gives the Cripple ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means that each time an enemy is hit by a monster it will lose one max health.
The What Doesn't Kill You ruleset will give the Enrage ability to everyone, which means that if a monster got damaged their stats will be increased by 50% until he or she is not healed back to his maximum health. 😇
My lineup
The Obsidian cost only 4 mana, which is perfect for this battle and she has the ability to increase the stats of all the magic attack monsters on the battlefield. 🤫 | |
The Fungus Flinger is an excellent 'tank buffer', because he has the Martyr ability, which means that he will increase the stats of the monsters next to him in case he dies. He also has the Blind ability, so all the enemy melee and ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target as long as he is alive. 😂 | |
I think Quora Towershead is simply the best monster in the whole game, because she has two different attack type (magic and melee) and the Bloodlust ability, so if she manages to kill a monster she will increase her own stats by one permanently. She also has the self Heal ability to further boost her sustainability and the two Martyr ability monster next to her will make her truly amazing. 💪 | |
The Venari Marksrat is a special monster, because stats wise he is not that strong, but he doesn't need to be strong at all, because he has one important ability, which is the Martyr. It means that he will increase the stats of the monsters next to him by one in case he dies. This comes especially good and he is taking advantage of a lot in the Born Again ruleset where he will activate his ability twice in the battle. 😜 | |
The Uloth Dhampir is an excellent ranged damage dealer, with huge damage, but more importantly he has the Stun ability, which is amazing to Stun his target if he manages to trigger that at a 50% chance on them. He naturally has the Snipe ability as well on higher levels and his only weakness is his low speed. 😅 | |
Ava the Undaunted is a very special monster, because she has three ranged attack damage on her own, but she also has the special Weapons Training ability, which will allow her to give her own attack damage to the monsters next to her if they do not have any attack. She also has the Rust ability as well, so if she manages to hit her target she will confiscate all of their armor. (*Sadly in my brawl battle the maximum level was only one, so no Rust here. 😜 | |
Thane Newsong cost only 5 mana, which is an easy fit into any team, but you need to support him with the Weapons Training ability to make himself more useful. On his own he can not attack, but he has a lot of health and the Inspire ability to increase the stats of his friendly melee attack monsters. 🤩 |
The Battle
My opponent brought Quix the Devious, who is a Dragon Summoner and that means that he is allowed to use any Dragon monster from that Splinter. Quix also decreases the speed and ranged attack of all the enemy monsters as well. 😏
My opponent brought a pretty strong front and a bit weak backline. Agor Longtail has the Taunt ability, so all of my monsters had to attack him and 'luckily' I have lost my Fungus Flinger in the first round twice, which buffed up my Quora quite a bit.
The Enrage on my Quora makes her quite strong and unfortunately the Cripple ability removes a lot of maximum health, so even if she Heals herself she is not getting back that much health.
By the end of the first round my Quora health went down to four, which was horrible, because if she fell my team will die quickly. Luckily in the second round Quora killed their Agor and levelled herself up a bit, but their Agor got back to life as well.
Quora managed to dodge a lethal blow from their Carnage Titan thanks to her high speed and she got down to only two health, before she healed some health back in the third round. 😇
Thanks to her double attack Quora killed their Agor permanently and even if she got a lot of speed they somehow managed to hit her and she got down to only one health and unfortunately she also died for the first time. 😱
In the fourth round Quora made another killing blow, but their Titan got resurrected back and none of my team member could kill him again!
The fifth round started good, because Quora killed their Titan once again and she also killed their Meerdali Guardian for the first time, but with the help of my team she died again.
The rest of his team was quite slow and had low health and it was impossible to kill my Quora, so my strategy won the battle for me. 💪
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy worked flawlessly, because my team revolved around Quora and around how to buff her up. This teactic worked eventually even if my opponent monsters started to reduce her maximum health, so her Heal ability couldn't work as I was expected. Her high speed and Enrage helped her a lot to dodge the incoming melee and ranged attacks, so she won the battle for me, but my team had a huge help during the process. 😇
